"Saving the city is much easier after a good meal," Ken argued. He shoved his hands deep into his pockets.
"I am just giving you solid medical advice. Ask Risa. I bet she agrees with me." Risa smiled her sweet, innocent smile. She hugged her stuffed teddy bear.
"Ken is right about eating food. But we really need to help the scared people first. The food can wait."
"See? Even the healer agrees with the mission," Naomi chuckled. She looked at Ken with genuine warmth. She liked his silly complaints. They made the strict atmosphere feel much more relaxed.
"You can have a massive dinner after we win the battle. I promise." Ken let out a dramatic groan.
"Fine. But I am getting double dessert. That is a non-negotiable term."
"Deal," Naomi smiled. She turned her attention back to the magical map. Sayma clicked her pen. She stared at the red dots on the hologram. The dots moved in a very specific pattern. She noticed something highly unusual.
"Princess Iris, please look at this," Sayma requested politely. She pointed at the edge of the map.
"I am reviewing the aerial reconnaissance data from our scout birds. The Lion King's troop movements are very strange." Princess Iris leaned closer.
"What do you see, Sayma?"
"The enemy troops are not spreading out," Sayma observed. Her analytical mind worked perfectly.
"They are marching in extremely tight, concentrated formations. They are utilizing a specific magical deployment pattern. It is highly unorthodox." Zinia frowned. She crossed her strong arms.
"Why would they march in a tight group? That makes them an easy target for Laxmi's fireballs."
"It does," Sayma nodded slowly.
"Unless they have a specific reason to stay close together. Let me pull up the detailed magical analysis." Sayma tapped the blue crystal. The hologram shifted. It displayed detailed data about the enemy soldiers. The text revealed terrifying information.
"This explains everything," Sayma stated. Her voice turned very serious.
"The Lion King's forces possess massively enhanced physical capabilities. Their bodies are reinforced with a unique, continuous enhancement spell. The spell connects them together. If they stand close to each other, their physical strength multiplies." Naomi's green eyes widened slightly.
"They share their strength? Like a linked shield?"
"Yes," Sayma confirmed.
"Their muscle density is vastly increased. Their skin is incredibly durable. They can punch through solid stone walls. They can withstand explosive magical attacks. They are essentially a walking army of indestructible boulders." Laxmi stopped tossing her sparks. She looked slightly disappointed.
"So my fireballs will not work?"
"Your fire will definitely singe them," Sayma explained gently.
"But it will not stop their advance. Their enhanced physical durability will allow them to march straight through the flames. Standard magical barrages will be totally ineffective." The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation. The tavern went completely silent. The 13th Unit realized the magnitude of the problem. They were facing an army of physically unstoppable soldiers. The Lion King was a brilliant tactician. He knew exactly how to counter normal magic.
Princess Iris stood perfectly straight. She did not show an ounce of fear. She trusted her elite vanguard. She knew they could overcome any obstacle.
"We need a new strategy," Princess Iris commanded calmly.
"We cannot use standard attacks. We must prepare specialized countermeasures. We need to neutralize their enhanced physical capabilities before we engage them."
The girls nodded in perfect unison. They started brainstorming immediately. They threw out different tactical ideas. They debated magical combinations. Ken sat in his booth. He listened to their intense planning. He chewed the last bit of his candy. He slouched his shoulders even further. He felt incredibly bored. He knew exactly how to beat the physically enhanced army. It was a very simple, very lazy solution. He just needed to make them realize it without exposing his true genius.
"If they share physical strength, we have to separate them," Naomi suggested. She spun a silver dagger in her hand.
"If I use my wind magic to create a massive tornado, I can blow them apart. Once they are separated, their linked enhancement spell will break." Sayma pushed her glasses up. She shook her head politely.
"That is a logical idea, Naomi. However, their muscle density makes them incredibly sturdy. Your wind magic might not generate enough force to lift them off the ground. They are literally too anchored." Zinia crossed her strong arms.
"I can build stone walls between them. I can isolate them into small groups."
"They punch through solid stone," Sayma reminded her gently.
"The reconnaissance data shows they destroyed the city barricades with their bare hands. Your walls will only slow them down for a few seconds." Laxmi groaned loudly. She leaned against a wooden pillar.
"This is highly annoying. They do not burn. They do not blow away. They break rocks. What are we supposed to do? Ask them to surrender nicely?" Ira stood perfectly still near the doorway. Her pale face showed zero emotion.
"Statistically speaking, engaging a physically superior force in direct combat results in a ninety-five percent failure rate. We must target their mobility. If they cannot move, their strength is entirely irrelevant." Luna opened her sleepy eyes. She sat up slightly on the padded booth. She let out a massive yawn.
"I agree with Ira. Fighting is very tiring. We should just make them trip and fall over. Falling over stops everyone." Ken Eliot perked up. He stopped slouching for a single second. He pointed a lazy finger at the sleepy lightning user.
"Luna is an absolute tactical genius," Ken announced cheerfully. He gave her a goofy thumbs-up.
"She just solved the entire problem. We do not need to punch them. We just need to make them fall down." Naomi turned to look at Ken. She smiled a warm, amused smile.
"Ken, we cannot just ask a massive army to trip. They are highly trained soldiers."
"I am not saying we ask them," Ken argued lazily. He shoved his hands deep into his pockets. He leaned his head against the wooden wall.
"I am saying we use the environment. They are super strong, right? They stomp really hard. If you stomp really hard on a slippery floor, you completely lose your balance. You slide. You crash into your friends." Sayma blinked. She looked at Ken. Her analytical mind processed his lazy words. Her dark eyes suddenly lit up with a brilliant idea.
"The friction coefficient," Sayma whispered politely. She grabbed her pen and notebook. She started writing furiously.
"Ken is absolutely correct. Their massive physical strength relies entirely on ground traction. If they cannot grip the floor, they cannot generate force." Laxmi looked totally confused.
"Friction what? Speak normally, Sayma." Sayma pushed her glasses up. She smiled a wide, confident smile.
"Ken means we need to remove the friction from the battlefield. We need to make the ground incredibly slippery. We need to create a massive hazard zone." Princess Iris stepped forward. Her violet eyes shined with absolute determination.
"How do we achieve this, Sayma?"
"We use a combined elemental strike," Sayma explained rapidly. She pointed at Ira.
"Ira, you will flood the primary conflict zone with a massive wave of water. You will soak the entire street completely."
