Laxmi cracked her knuckles. Her flames roared brightly.
"Blind strikes are my favorite! I will just burn the entire mountain down! They cannot hide if everything is on fire!"
"Do not burn the mountain, Laxmi!" Zinia scolded loudly.
"You will cause a massive rockslide! We will all get crushed!" Naomi spun her twin daggers. She bounced lightly on her combat boots. She stared at the empty space outside the shield. She felt incredibly frustrated. She was the fastest fighter in the unit. She wanted to dash forward and cut the enemies down. But she could not fight what she could not see. Ken Eliot stood safely right behind Naomi. He slouched his posture. He looked exactly like a helpless, terrified boy hiding behind a strong warrior.
He chewed another potato chip. He swallowed it. He looked at the invisible Ashura operative standing on the large rock to the left. The operative was raising his hands. He was preparing to shoot a dark purple blast directly at Naomi. Ken did not move his body. He did not change his lazy expression. He just raised his right hand casually. He kept his arm close to his side. He pointed his index finger directly through the golden barrier. He aimed right at the invisible operative on the rock.
Ken squinted his left eye. He stuck his tongue out of the corner of his mouth.
"Pew," Ken whispered very softly. The word barely made a sound. He fired his reality-bending magic. A tiny, completely silent cyan mana bullet shot out of his fingertip. The bullet was incredibly small. It looked like a tiny, glowing blue pebble. It flew straight through the golden shield without leaving a single mark. It zoomed across the mountain pass at blistering speed. Nobody saw the bullet. The girls were too busy looking at the purple explosions.
The tiny cyan bullet tapped the invisible Ashura operative directly in the center of his chest. There was no explosion. There was no flash of light. But the magical kinetic force was absolute and totally unstoppable. The invisible operative did not just stumble. He was violently, abruptly knocked backward. His body flew completely off the large rock. He crashed hard onto the dirt road. The sudden, massive physical impact completely disrupted the operative's magical concentration.
The advanced stealth camouflage instantly shattered. The spell broke like fragile glass. The operative suddenly appeared in plain sight. He wore dark gray tactical armor. He lay on his back in the dirt. He groaned in pain. He looked completely confused. He had absolutely no idea what had just hit him. Naomi saw the operative appear out of nowhere. Her green eyes went completely wide. She did not hesitate for a single microsecond. She thought the operative simply lost his balance and dropped his spell.

"I see one!" Naomi shouted fiercely.
"He dropped his camouflage!" Naomi dashed forward instantly. Her green wind magic exploded around her boots. She moved like a red-haired blur. She bypassed the golden shield and ran straight at the fallen operative. The operative tried to stand up. He raised his hands to cast a dark spell. He was way too slow. Naomi closed the distance in a heartbeat. She spun her body in a flawless arc. She swung her twin daggers. She did not aim to kill. She aimed to disarm.
The sharp silver blades sliced right through the operative's magical gauntlets. She delivered a swift, powerful kick to his chest. The operative crashed back down into the dirt. He was totally knocked out.
"One is down!" Naomi cheered proudly. She slid her daggers into her belt. She looked back at her team with a confident smile.
"Their camouflage is not perfect! They are making mistakes! Keep watching the dirt!" Ken stood in the back. He popped another chip into his mouth. He smiled a goofy smile.
"Great job, boss lady!" Ken yelled loudly. He waved his hand in the air.
"You completely destroyed him! Your intimidating aura must have made him trip over a rock! You are incredibly scary!"
"Shut up, Ken!" Naomi laughed warmly. She ran back into the protective circle.
"Just stay behind me and stay safe!" The remaining invisible Ashura operatives panicked. They saw their teammate get easily defeated. They realized their stealth advantage was slipping. They increased their magical bombardment. More dark purple blasts rained down on the golden shield.
"They are firing faster!" Sayma warned. She pushed her hands forward. Her boots slid slightly in the dirt.
"My barrier is cracking! We need to find the others!" Laxmi punched her open palm.
"I wish another one would trip and fall! I want to punch something so badly!" Ken slouched his shoulders again. He looked at an invisible operative standing right in the middle of the dirt road. The operative was gathering a massive amount of dark magic. He wanted to blow a hole straight through Sayma's shield.
"You guys are demanding a lot of customer service today," Ken mumbled lazily to himself.
"I am basically doing all the heavy lifting here. I should definitely get a raise for this. Or at least an extra slice of cake at dinner." Ken casually raised his right hand again. He kept it hidden behind Naomi's back. He pointed his index finger at the invisible operative on the road.
"Pew," Ken whispered. A second tiny cyan bullet zipped out of his finger. It flew soundlessly across the battlefield. It tapped the invisible operative right on the knee. The reality-bending magic activated instantly. The operative was violently knocked sideways. His legs flew out from under him. He did a totally ungraceful, clumsy flip in the air. He crashed face-first into the dusty mountain road. The advanced stealth camouflage shattered completely. The spell broke into harmless white sparks.
The operative appeared in plain sight. He lay on his stomach in the dirt. He spit a mouthful of dust out of his mouth. He looked utterly bewildered. His perfect stance was totally ruined.
"There is another one!" Laxmi roared in pure excitement. Laxmi did not wait for orders. She leaped out of the golden shield. She slammed her fists together. A massive, roaring fireball erupted around her hands. She ran straight toward the confused operative. The operative scrambled to his feet. He tried to raise his arms to defend himself. Laxmi threw a devastating, fiery punch directly into his chest. The bright orange flames washed over his tactical armor.
The impact sent the operative flying backward through the air. He crashed into a large boulder. He slumped to the ground. He was completely unconscious. Smoke rose from his armor.
"Yes!" Laxmi cheered wildly. She pumped her fist into the air.
"I got him! I totally roasted him!" Zinia grinned a tough, proud grin. She cracked her knuckles.
"Their camouflage is totally failing! The magical backlash from our defense must be disrupting their concentration! They cannot hold the spell!" Sayma nodded politely. She looked incredibly relieved.
"That is a highly logical deduction, Zinia. The kinetic force of Laxmi's fire and Naomi's speed is destabilizing the ambient mana in the area. The operatives cannot maintain their invisibility under this much environmental pressure."
