Chương 32: Deed-32: Treason

{1999 A. Y. Yokai Realm} [Next day Morning, Ram wakes up early and does Sandhya Vandan, tapas and his usual exercise as always] [After breakfast Angel asks Ram that she would spend time with Emma until he returns from the courtroom meeting] [Ram agrees to her wish as there's nothing hectic which needs Queen's attention in the courtroom that day] [Ram smiled and left for the courtroom where Vidhur was waiting for his Lord to report all the things] [Vidhur opens the door for Lord Ram to enter and follows his Lord in] [Inside Courtroom] [Vidhur falls in front of Ram and shouts with regret and guilt] Vidhur: Forgive me, my lord!

I have cheated you! I did treason! Please kill me, My Lord! [Ram smiles] Ram: Is death such a small thing to you? Vidhur: My Lord, I did such grave sin! Please behead me! [Ram smiles] Ram: First of all, tell me what happened, why are you sweating all over out of fear? What's the reason for your fear? You are my commander! Ram: Stand up! You could never commit such sins! Now, tell me what happened?

[Vidhur stands up and with a bit of hesitation starts explaining] Vidhur: My Lord, while I was visiting the greatest and finest craftsmen in yokai continent! I heard many citizens of other nations discussing you, my lord!!! Ram: About what? Vidhur: My Lord, what I did is beyond forgiveness! It's treason! Yet, I did!!! Please forgive me, My Lord! Ram: Hmm, speak freely don't feel guilty! [Vidhur with a fear and tensed voice] Vidhur: My Lord, forgive me!

They were thinking that, you defeating Ocean King-7 are rumors, which are being spread by you to save your country from attack from other kings, so that you can protect those potions! Ram: Hmm, Continue... Vidhur: They think that you have traded potions for something so special and rare or you might have begged Ocean King-7 for those potions! But they aren't ready to trust that you are stronger than them all! [Ram smiles] Vidhur: Sorry, My Lord!

I didn't correct them as I didn't want them to attack us to test whether you were great or not! All I wanted was for you to be at peace! Vidhur: That's why, my lord! I didn't defend your honor, as wars are always cruel and takes peace away! Hence, instead of defending your honor, I told them all, that Lord Ram has used all those potions fully and emptied the containers! You are praiseworthy, as you didn't get angry and not encouraged them to attack! All you did was prevent an unnecessary war! Vidhur: Lord! Please punish me! Ram: Leave that! I would have gotten angry, if you would have praised me and started an unnecessary war! [Vidhur's eyes filled with tears and he falls on Ram's feet] Vidhur: Please, punish me, My Lord! Your forgiveness is much torturing than any punishment! [Ram in an authoritative voice orders] Ram: Hey! Behave like my commander!

I said that you haven't done anything wrong! All you did was stop a war! Hence, don't regret your actions! Ram: I have forgiven you! You don't have any right to think about yourself as a cheater! You are my commander! If you had cheated me, I would be talking to your corpse, not with you! Vidhur: Thank you, My Lord! Ram: Let's just forget the part that you didn't protect my honor! Let's see the big picture! You saved the nation from a meaningless war!

You saved this nation's peace by not letting this green and blue nature turn red! Ram: Just forget it all! I am not angry on you and you have no right to think of yourself as a cheater! If you think of yourself as a cheater, then I would consider that as treason!

[Vidhur was hardly able to hold back his tears as he thought that Ram would at least shout at him with anger, but all that Ram did was forgive, as Ram trusted Vidhur, and Vidhur understood that day how much Ram trusts him] [Ram with a bit of curiosity and in suspicious tone] Ram: Hmm, Vidhur! Do you really think that they all trusted your words? Or are there nations which think that I have left over potions, would they attack us just to confirm it?

[Vidhur with obedience, sincerity and without any regret answers] Vidhur: There are still high chances, My Lord! Vidhur: The math is simple, defeat a least ranking kingdom's commander and king and you get the potions which only the 1st Ranking King has access to! What kind of king would let such a great opportunity slip away? Vidhur: Hence, there are still high chances of war!

As any king would consider sending a group of his men to the lowest-ranking kingdom, if their army failed to defeat us, they would consider waging full-fledged war on us, as even 1 drop of that potion is worth more than 1000's of yokai! Vidhur: My Lord, everyone would be plotting to wage a war on us, as the one who attacks us first would gain a huge advantage Vidhur: Forgive me, My Lord! If I say something out of line!

But the recent war which you waged on Ocean Kingdom-7 was not a real war, as a war consists of lots of soldiers and we don't have lots of soldiers! Vidhur: It would be the greatest disgrace to the kingdom's throne if a king had to fight foot soldiers on his own! We need yokai, My Lord!!! [Ram in a bit dominating tone] Ram: We don't have the luxury to think about prestige, now! Vidhur: But, My Lord... [Ram interrupts Vidhur] Ram: Stop! Let's not talk about this! Send a letter to Ojas to come back home immediately!

I can protect citizens inside the country! But it would be difficult for me to protect someone so high-profile who isn't inside our nation! Ram: Send a letter to him to return immediately! As he will be the easiest target to blackmail us!!! Ram: Any great king would never send his yokai to war without knowing the opponent's strength At least I wouldn't have ordered my men to charge at someone who is rumored to defeat someone whom I consider powerful! It doesn't matter even if he is called as the weakest one!

Ram: If I was in their shoes, I would have ordered my men to capture their relatives. In our case it's Ojas, as capturing Ojas would be the simplest option, capturing him would be a piece of cake and I won't lose my yokai! A better strategy, isn't it? [Vidhur was surprised by Ram's presence of mind] [Vidhur's inner voice: He is like an experienced king! He has already thought that far just in seconds! He sure is one of the wisest kings I have ever seen!] Vidhur: Yes, My Lord!!!

[Ram in a comforting and assuring tone] Ram: Rest assured! Everything's going to be fine! I don't think that they can find Ojas that easily! But still, send him a letter to return back immediately! Vidhur: Yes, My Lord! Please, allow me to go and send the letter, My Lord! Ram: Hmm, Hurry up! [Vidhur exits the courtroom and sends a letter to Ojas by tying it to a crow type yokai] ----Meet you in the next deed, Guys
