Rudra kicked the heavy iron doors open and stepped into the massive cathedral. The room was lined with dozens of dark coffins. At the very back, sitting on a plush velvet throne, was a breathtakingly handsome blond man. [The master of the 13th city, Vampire Earl Elfin Stone has appeared.] Elfin Stone looked extremely annoyed. He rubbed his pale eyes and glared at the broken doors.
"I only got eighteen hours of sleep today. You humans are so loud. Die quietly so I can go back to bed." The Vampire Earl didn't even bother standing up. He just raised a hand.
"[Extreme Blood Transfusion]." A massive, terrifying curtain of blood shot across the cathedral. It was a lethal, targeted attack designed to drain a player's entire health pool in one hit. Rudra didn't try to dodge. He gripped his weapon with both hands.
"[Atlas's Rebound]." [500 Mana and 50 Staff Energy consumed.] Rudra rapidly spun the Staff of the Fire Lord in front of him. The heavy curtain of blood slammed into the spinning bone. There was no explosion. The red magic sank directly into the weapon. The staff instantly felt like it weighed a thousand pounds.
"My turn," Rudra grunted. He didn't stop swinging. He used the massive stored weight to step forward, pulling the supercharged staff over his shoulder.
"[Crushing Strike]." He brought the staff down in a brutal overhead arc. The redirected blood magic fired back, stacking with his 360% physical damage multiplier. KABOOM! The impact shattered the stone floor. The blast wave threw Elfin Stone backward, smashing him right through his velvet throne and into the stone wall behind it.
"You dare!" Elfin Stone roared. The Vampire Earl stood up from the rubble. He wasn't dead. He wasn't even badly hurt. He pulled a slightly curved, blood-red ego sword from his waist.
"Blood Field!" Elfin Stone yelled. A heavy red mist flooded the entire cathedral. Rudra immediately noticed his health starting to tick down rapidly, siphoning directly into the boss.
"That's cheating," Rudra complained. Elfin Stone didn't reply. He vanished. Stolen from its rightful author, this tale is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings. The Vampire Earl was ridiculously fast. He appeared directly behind Rudra, thrusting his red sword, Iyarugt, at Rudra's neck. Rudra ducked under the blade, spinning his staff to catch the follow-up strike with Atlas's Rebound. The red sword hit the staff.
Rudra banked the damage and immediately spun to counterattack, but his heavy bone staff just passed through a cloud of black smoke.
"Too slow, human," Elfin Stone's voice echoed from the mist. Swish. A blade of compressed blood magic slashed across Rudra's back. Thud. Rudra stumbled forward. His Troll King's Black Coat absorbed the worst of it, but the hit still took a chunk out of his health bar. The red mist of the Blood Field immediately grabbed the spilled blood, healing Elfin Stone. Rudra wiped a drop of blood from his cheek.
"Okay, so you're actually strong." He tapped into his Mana Heart.
"[Targeted Manifestation]." [Mana Consumption: 1% per second.] He directed the surging flow of his internal mana straight into his legs and arms. His muscles bulged under his trench coat. He stomped his boots against the broken stone and launched himself forward. The fight turned into an absolute, grueling brawl. Elfin Stone's sword blurred, launching dozens of high-speed strikes. Rudra kept Atlas's Rebound active in short bursts, catching the red sword and banking the heavy damage. He couldn't stop moving.
If he paused for even a second, the stored recoil in his staff would detonate inside his own body. He bounced around the cathedral using Abyssal Step, creating invisible platforms in the air to attack from above. Clang! Thwack! BOOM! Rudra finally landed a heavy hit. The Ring of the Frozen Hell froze Elfin Stone's left arm, and the Staff of the Fire Lord triggered a massive orange fire explosion right in the vampire's face.
"[Echo Strike]!" A phantom strike triggered immediately after, dealing an extra 50% damage that bypassed the vampire's guard completely. Elfin Stone grunted, sliding backward. But the Vampire Earl just laughed. He shattered the ice on his arm with a pulse of raw magic.
"Heart Seeker!" Elfin Stone yelled. A spear made of dense, boiling blood formed in the air and shot toward Rudra. It moved too fast to track. Rudra spun his staff to catch it with Atlas's Rebound. He missed. The targeted skill actively curved around the spinning staff and slammed directly into Rudra's shoulder.
"Gah!" Rudra choked. The impact threw him backward through the air. He crashed hard into a stone pillar, coughing up blood. His health plummeted straight into the red zone. The Blood Field aggressively drained him, feeding the damage back to Elfin Stone. [Blood Memory has activated. Physical defense increases by 5% for every 10% of health lost.] Rudra's coat hardened into a brick wall, but he was in serious trouble. He was pinned against the broken pillar.
His mana was dropping fast from keeping Targeted Manifestation running, and the red mist was suffocating him. Through the bloody haze, Elfin Stone slowly walked forward, dragging his red sword across the broken floor tiles.
"You put up a good fight for a human," the Vampire Earl smiled coldly.
"But it is time to go back to sleep."
