While Neon washed up, Aren called Light Nostrade over.
"Nostrade, I'm taking Neon away for a while." The first sentence nearly scared Light to the floor. He dropped to his knees with a thud.
"Mr. Aren, have I neglected something recently? Or are you dissatisfied with me in some way?" Aren looked at the terrified man speechlessly. He could roughly guess what Light had misunderstood. The man probably thought Aren was ending their arrangement.
"No. Get up. You're overthinking. I only plan to take Neon out to relax. After fighting the Zoldycks yesterday, I need to clear my head." Light finally breathed out and stood, wiping cold sweat from his forehead.
"Of course, Mr. Aren. Please rest assured. I will arrange everything properly."
"Good. Decide how to arrange it yourself. You can leave." That was the benefit of having Light Nostrade. Once Aren told him what he wanted, the rest did not need to be managed. Light would handle it himself and make the arrangement comfortable.
"Yes, Mr. Aren. I will arrange it immediately." Light respectfully withdrew. As soon as he left, Neon came out of the bathroom with an excited face.
"Master, Master, Neon finished washing up. Can we leave now?" Aren raised a hand and rubbed her head.
"Your father is already arranging things for us. Once he finishes, we can go. Before that, let's eat first. Then you can decide what you want to bring." He took Neon's hand and led her toward the dining room. With Light's personality, breakfast should already be prepared.
"Yay! We're going on a trip!" Neon had been born as the young lady of a mafia family, but in reality, she had never left Gambi Town. Light had not even let her attend kindergarten. He would never have allowed her to travel casually. Thinking of it, Neon would soon reach the age where she should begin school. That gave Aren a headache. If she went to school, Aren would have to stay in one place for a long time. But if she did not go, he was not exactly good at teaching children.
He could not let Neon become illiterate like Uvogin. Ignorance was frightening. Did you know this text is from a different site? Read the official version to support the creator. If his disciple became illiterate, Aren himself would be the first person unable to accept it. Forget it. Neon had at least a year before that became urgent. He could think about it then. Around noon, Light somehow procured a luxury motorhome.
Since Aren had only said he wanted to go east and had not named a specific destination, an airship was not ideal. A motorhome was perfect. It could move and stop whenever needed, while keeping the interior comfortable. Light also prepared two drivers and a chef. Two drivers ensured the vehicle could keep moving twenty-four hours a day. Light knew Aren disliked being disturbed, so both drivers and the chef had brought sleeping bags of their own. Unless Aren gave orders, they would stay in the front cabin.
In an emergency, all three could also handle cleanup. There was little else Aren could say. Light Nostrade really was unmatched at catering to him. The man was a king of thoughtful arrangements. This suited Aren perfectly. Still, he could ignore the chef. The man's food was unlikely to beat what Aren could create himself. While Aren and Neon prepared to begin their journey, Silva returned to Kukuroo Mountain with Illumi.
On the road, Silva had done basic treatment on both their wounds, but their condition still looked miserable. Zebro, who had served as the gatekeeper for almost his entire life, stared in shock. Silva's empty right sleeve. Illumi's bandaged eyes. He had never seen Zoldyck Family members in such a state. Before Zebro could recover, the Testing Gate opened from the inside.
"Darling! Illumi!" Kikyo, who had not yet started wearing her electronic visor and still had a strikingly beautiful face, saw Silva's severed arm and Illumi's blinded eyes. Tears immediately fell. Ignoring the inconvenience of her dress, she hurried toward Silva in small, quick steps. Her hands hovered uncertainly. She wanted to comfort them, but feared touching them would hurt. Behind her, Zeno walked over with his hands behind his back.
"That looks serious. Was the opponent that difficult?" Zeno's tone carried a rare gravity.
"Yes. But these wounds are minor. We'll need to ask him to come over." Silva's eyes darkened as he spoke.
"The real issue is Aren."
"That man is so strong he barely seems human. His foundation, awareness, and age all suggest he has not awakened Nen for long, but both his aura reserve and the power of his abilities far exceed what a human should reach."
"His aura is also rising constantly. That kind of talent has gone beyond human limits." After hearing Silva's assessment, Zeno's eyes sharpened.
"Silva. Are you saying he may have come from there?" Silva shook his head.
"No. I mean his talent has surpassed human limits, but I did not sense the aura of darkness from him." It was unclear how Silva, who had never been to the Dark Continent, could identify the aura of darkness. But from his future judgment of Nanika, he clearly had some way to sense beings from that place. Otherwise, he would not have declared Nanika a darkness from another world. Perhaps it was related to the mysterious volcano on the Zoldyck estate. Zeno relaxed slightly.
As long as Aren was not a creature from there, it was manageable. If he was merely powerful, they could simply raise the price of any future commission involving him to an absurd level and avoid contact. Kikyo listened to Zeno and Silva's evaluation with disbelief. In her eyes, the Zoldyck Family was the world's greatest family. Kikyo could not understand how someone could be stronger than them. Silva noticed his wife's disbelief. While handing Illumi to her, he said,"This world is vast. We are not invincible."
Then he and Zeno walked deeper into Kukuroo Mountain. Silva said that, but unwillingness still hid deep in his eyes. Kikyo held the unconscious Illumi and shed tears again. Watching Zeno and Silva move away, she did not know what to say. She could only follow while crying. Neither Silva nor Zeno showed the slightest intention of revenge. Even if Kikyo resented Aren, she had no way to act on it. She did not possess the ability to take revenge.
To the Zoldycks, hatred that was not a matter of life and death was irrelevant.
"Place Aren at the same level as Netero," Zeno said. No one objected. Netero's level basically meant a mission that could not be completed. After all, Netero was said to be the only man known to have survived Maha. If even Maha could not kill Netero, the rest of them had no reason to try. Following behind them, Kikyo hesitated. After thinking for a moment, she still spoke.
"Darling, I think I may be pregnant." Silva and Zeno stopped at the same time. Both turned toward Kikyo's stomach. Pregnant. This child might become the true Zoldyck heir. The Testing Gate closed behind them with a deep rumble. Outside, Zebro stood covered in cold sweat. He began worrying whether this was really something he was allowed to know.
'Would Master Silva make him pay after recovering?'
