"Small fry?" Uvogin sounded skeptical, but his attitude was already obvious.
"Exactly," Nobunaga said.
"We finally get a chance to move around, and you want to keep it for yourself?" Chrollo touched his chin with a teasing smile.
"It is rare to see you this motivated, Aren. I would like to watch."
"I don't care," Uvogin declared.
"If there is a fight, you have to bring me." The others said nothing, but their eyes all carried the same meaning.
'I am going.' Aren smiled.
'Looks like I am doing well as deputy leader.' Light returned and handed him the Fanobi file. Aren skimmed it, then nodded.
"Fine. It is a little unfair to them, but since everyone wants to stretch, let's make a mess." He tossed the file back to Light.
"As long as we know where their headquarters is, that's enough. We will wipe out their main base directly. You can handle the remaining mess yourselves, right?" Light caught the file in a fluster and answered with excitement.
"Absolutely. As long as their main force is destroyed, I believe Bart can handle the rest."
"Good. Then let's go."
"I wish you victory in battle." Light bowed ninety degrees toward the Troupe as they left. When Aren led the others outside, a driver and a luxury van were already waiting at the entrance. The driver bowed respectfully and opened the door for them. Aren had to admit that Light Nostrade had a real talent for flattering the right people. In the original future, he had also climbed by relying on Neon's ability and flattering the Ten Dons.
The author's narrative has been misappropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon. After this series of arrangements, the Troupe's opinion of Light rose somewhat. No one enjoyed suffering when comfort was available. Having someone arrange all the small details of life really did feel good. No wonder rich households liked keeping butlers. Inside the van, Aren watched the scenery rush past the window.
"Captain," he said suddenly, "what do you think of Light Nostrade?" Chrollo, who was reading in the back, paused. He did not know what Aren wanted to say, but after thinking for a moment, he answered.
"He is useful. His arrangements are nearly perfect."
"I see." A small curve appeared on Aren's lips, but he said nothing more. Originally, he planned to take Neon and leave Gambi Town once the transaction ended. Now he had another idea. In the future Yorknew incident, the Troupe's hideout had style, but it was also far too run-down. Gambi Town was only a remote provincial town, and its total area was not large, but it was a place near Meteor City with mafia routes, money, officials, and a useful Nostrade Family.
About half an hour later, the driver stopped the van at the foot of a small mountain near the outskirts of Gambi Town. He turned toward Aren.
"Everyone, the vehicle cannot go any farther. This entire mountain belongs to the Fanobi Family."
"They use a whole hill as their family base?" Chrollo closed his book and looked at the forest, where armed gangsters occasionally moved between the trees.
"This Fanobi Family is more capable than I expected."
"Yes, sir," the driver said.
"The Fanobi Family has ruled Gambi Town for nearly sixty years. Their family compound has stood here for generations." His voice carried a hint of resignation. He was probably one of Nostrade's loyal men. Otherwise, he would not have let his own feelings slip into the explanation.
"Isn't that better?" Uvogin said, cracking his knuckles.
"The stronger they are, the more interesting this gets."
"I agree," Feitan said, excitement entering his eyes.
"Yesterday barely counted as a warm-up."
"Then this is a good chance to test our strength," Chrollo said.
"So, Aren, how do you plan to arrange the operation? This is your operation, so you cannot be lazy." He looked at Aren with amusement. After spending so much time together, Chrollo understood exactly how lazy Aren could be. Aren raised his middle finger at him.
"Fine. The Fanobi compound covers a large area. If we move together, it will be too easy for people to slip through. I suggest pairs. Four teams attack from four directions at the same time."
"That way, everyone has support if something unexpected happens, while also making it easier to wipe them out. Any objections?" No one objected.
"Uvogin, Nobunaga. You two have always worked well together, so you are one team."
"Franklin, Feitan. You cooperated in Meteor City before, so you are another."
"Pakunoda, you go with the captain. I will go with Machi." Aren winked at Pakunoda. Her ears reddened slightly, and she rolled her eyes at him. Aside from Uvogin and Nobunaga insulting each other a few times, no one had a problem with the arrangement.
"Then begin. Kill every last one of them." At Aren's command, the Troupe vanished from the van like ghosts. The business van rocked left and right as if struck by an invisible force. The driver stared at the empty seats in shock as cold sweat rolled down his forehead. He had guessed they were strong. Otherwise, eight people would not dare invade the territory of Gambi Town's ruler. But he had not imagined they were this strong. Eight people had been sitting neatly in the van a moment ago.
He had not even seen how they left.
"Where did Boss find these monsters?"
