Tr. FJW: Mana Levels and What They Really Mean Here is how mana levels work across different worlds. To all the new Travelers: stop asking me stupid questions and read the damn Archive. That's why it's there. No Mana: No mention of the word mana on the Gate = Mana Level 0 These worlds can range from the most primitive societies living in caves to the most advanced spacefaring societies. This is not an indication of development, only of mana levels. In these worlds, there is no mana regeneration.
You can't regenerate something that doesn't exist. I can't believe I'm explaining this. Very Low Mana: 1-2 Mana It's like the above, except that mana regeneration is possible, but it's very slow and irritating. The only bright side is the absence of the terrible sucking sensation. Heading to Integration: Mana Levels 3-8 Same as above, but natural disasters begin in a world on the way to integration. At first, they are weak and localized, but as the level increases, they get worse.
Integrating: Mana Level 9-10 Do not go near it. The increased chance to gain Ability Points and Classes is not worth the headache. The population is always a mess, crying, panicking, and clinging to anyone who looks strong. If they see you can handle yourself, they will crowd around with their nagging and begging, and they will even try to make you feel guilty if you don't help them. We owe them nothing. Miserable idiots.
At the final stage of integration, just before it ends, the Gate sometimes displays the word "Varies" or "Unstable." That only means the mana level jumps around, and I don't know and don't care what range it covers. It's still a gamble, and if you walk through, you will get what you deserve = a serious kick in the teeth or somewhere else. Unstable: "Mana Level: Varies/Unstable" This can be anything from mana 11 to 90+ on top of the headache of a world that just got integrated. Don't go near there.
It's a never-ending bundle of trouble. Low Mana: Mana Levels 11-29 Very peaceful and idyllic worlds, with a lot of unspoiled nature. Pretty enough if you like staring at trees all day. Life there is calm and relaxed. Boring. There are almost no monsters or mana beasts, so they are useless for anyone trying to gain some levels. Knowledge of magic or Magitech is practically nonexistent, and most of the population doesn't even have Classes, hopelessly ignorant as they are.
As the number increases and approaches 29, both the strength of monsters and the general knowledge of magic and Magitech finally begin to rise. The reason for the different classifications at this point is simple. At mana level 29, dungeons don't appear, and at mana level 30, they do. Did you know this text is from a different site? Read the official version to support the creator. Why? Only the Guiding Spirits know.
Medium Mana: Mana Levels 30-49 Worlds with more magical Classes and usually more Magitech, but not always. Some worlds are lazy and don't develop. More monsters in the wild and at higher levels. At level 30, dungeons appear. Nobles, governments, or guilds control most of them, so clear them and don't touch the core. Parasites hoarding power always cling to dungeons like it's their birthright. The dungeon always has a powerful guardian at the end, who has a parasitic relationship with the dungeon.
The dungeon feeds it mana, and the monster protects it. If you're not sure of your ability, leave it. You don't have to kill the final guardian to clear a dungeon. But if you find a wild dungeon and clear it, you should also take care of the last monster and always take the core. It is worth more than all the contents of your Storage. As the number approaches 49, the number of dungeons increases, and you can find more wild dungeons.
They are more profitable in terms of the materials you can collect and the size of the core. High-Mana: Mana Level 50-74 These are more dangerous worlds. Lots of high-level monsters in the wild, lots of high-level dungeons, many of them wild dungeons. Mana beasts are very advanced and dangerous. This is the stage where the worlds of cultivators appear. Don't approach them; they are all crazy and just looking for a fight.
At this stage, Mana Portals, Mana Instances, Mana Occurrences, and several other names that exist in the cosmos for the same phenomenon also appear. Apparently, no one was smart enough to agree on one name, so we are stuck with this pile of stupid names. They pop up when a lot of mana accumulates in a particular area, and most worlds share a theory at this mana level that this is a type of valve. The mana gathers and creates this portal.
You have to enter and clear it in a specific time frame, and if you don't, the portal upgrades in color, and monsters come out and attack the population. In this portal, there is always a final monster that, if killed, causes the portal to collapse. But if you kill it before you kill the rest of the monsters, the monsters you didn't kill will come out of the portal when it collapses, and you will have trouble with the authorities.
If you don't have the energy to clear the whole mess and the final monster, don't bother with it. Portals don't have a core worth taking, but you can harvest the monsters. Monsters always dissipate, even if you store them. In those portals, they don't. That's the only good thing about them. Why? Only the Guiding Spirits know. Very High-Mana: Mana Level starting from 75 and theoretically up to 100, and maybe more I encountered only up to 92. The danger level on the Gate is always "Lethal."
Listen to what it says on the Gate: Lethal. I'm not going there even if they pay me. There are stories about dragons, trees with consciousness, and Wizards who can build a palace with the wave of a hand. I don't believe it; they are all liars. It sounds too far-fetched. That's it. That's all. Anyone who asks me again without checking the Archive first will get their teeth rearranged for free. Consider this your only warning.
