Long Yuan clasped his shoulder.
"Don't worry Feng'er, the clan will protect you at all costs. The old Clan Chief would definitely emerge from his seclusion." he assured Long Feng nodded.
"As per the elders decision, the winner is allowed to choose a weapon from the Armory. Any weapon he wishes, including either one of the clan's top three Yin level artifacts." The first great elder announced. By now, almost everyone had left. They had rushed away to spread the news of everything that happened today. The events of today would certainly stir up a hidden wave in the city. It would be the main topic of discussion for a long time. Only the Long clan disciples were left.
They all stared at Long feng incredulously, stared at themselves, then back at him. Honestly to these clan youths, it all seemed like a dream. Long Feng, who they had always called trash, laughed at, scorned. The bastard of the Long clan, he suddenly revealed his sharpness and shocked everyone with his strength, directly snatching the first place at the meeting. This feat left the other youths in a daze.
And although many of them had the idea to go after him and lick his boot, they couldn't help but each remember how they had treated him before. At the end, they could only stare as he walked away. Long feng was led back into the clan by the elders. The clan Chief and great elders had gone to meet the old Clan Chief in his hidden seclusion place which was known only to them. Long Feng followed behind Long Yan silently, pondering on what weapon he would pick, while Long Yan took a few more glances at him.
"Oh brother. You're so lucky. You surpassed us, but we thought our kids would hold our faces up. Yet you casually roamed somewhere and returned with this kid. Your luck really makes one envious." He sighed and shook his head. They walked deep into the Long Clan to a large building surrounded by several strong men. From their deep auras, Long Feng could tell that they were all Yin realm masters. He swallowed and followed Long Yan past them. By the door of the building, Long Yan paused.
"This is where I'll stop. Go in and choose a weapon. You have an hour. And be careful not to be too greedy." He said calmly and stepped aside. Long Feng thanked him and walked into the weapons building. He was quite stunned at how wide it was. It contained two floors; the first floor was full of ordinary weapons, ranging from swords to sabers to spears, hammers, hundreds of them. Long Feng looked around, then walked around the first floor a bit. The most he found were half Yin armament; they weren't enough for him.
"This chance won't come again easily. It'll be best if I can take a true Yin armament. Otherwise, a strong half Yin armament will be good as well." If you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the violation. Thinking this way, he continued on to the second floor. The weapons in the second floor were much less than those in the first floor, yet each of them was a strong half Yin armament.
Several of them had auras that surpassed half Yin armaments and could suppress normal connate realm warriors. Those were the Yin level armaments and they numbered only around fifty.
"These are the Long clan's Yin armaments, gathered over a hundred years. At the extreme end there, you'll see the three top yin armaments." A voice suddenly spoke. Long Feng jumped back, startled as he looked around and found a hunch backed old man holding a Long broom and slowly cleaning the floor. Yet when he entered, he certainly hasn't noticed anyone.
"Who are you?" He asked cautiously.
"I'm merely a cleaner. You don't need to worry. You must be here to choose a weapon." The old man asked. Long Feng stared at him warily and nodded.
"Hmm. Most of the weapons are half Yin armaments. I see you want more than that. Come, let me show you around." The old man dragged his broom and walked towards the extreme end he pointed at earlier. Long Feng merely hesitated briefly before he rushed after him.
"I can't tell your cultivation, but you shouldn't be above the connate realm. Are you sure you want to hold a yin armament?" The old man asked casually.
"I'm sure." Long Feng replied. He was well aware that only Yin level cultivators could unleash the real power of a Yin armament, but connate cultivators could also use part of its powers. If an ordinary peak connate cultivator was to use a Yin armament against a weaponless early Yin level cultivator, the Connate cultivator had a high chance of victory. The old man said no more and led Long Feng to where there different weapons floated.
Long Feng stood before them and as he felt the aura of the three top weapons, he was surprised. Their auras were very powerful, greater than normal yin armaments. On the left was a floating longsword. On the right was a massive hammer, and the last one was an axe. On the axe, the character 'Mountain splitter'. It had the strongest aura among the three.
"This axe is called Mountain splitter axe. If utilized by a peak Yin level cultivator, it is rumored to be able to split a small mountain rock in two."
"The sword is called Sovereign sword. It is equally as powerful, as the axe, though, it's history is unknown. The Hammer is called earth crusher. It is said to be able to crush anything to mush." One of the two elders introduced. Long feng stared at the sword and reached out to touch it. Just before his hands reached it, something seemed to click in his head. A sudden image flashed in his mind before vanishing again, leaving him muddled.
The image was exactly the same scene he saw while he was lost in some mysterious state when he finally opened his Dantian. A black robed man seated on a throne in space, wearing what seemed to be a mask that covered the lover half of his face and one of his eyes. His head was hung low and his hair was scattered around his shoulder. Around his throne were Nine blazing pillars of light that illuminated the stars. This image vanished from his memories as fast as it appeared and it brought a faint headache to him.
The next second, he couldn't recall the image no matter how hard he tried. Long Feng staggered backwards while the old man watched curiously.
"What's this feeling?" Long Feng murmured. He could feel something from his body, a faint pull or what seemed like a connection between him and something nearby. Something was calling him over. Looking around, he walked in the direction of the strange connection. A moment later, he stopped and in front of him was an old rusted longsword. The sword seemed to have some characters on it, but they were unclear due to the rusting on the sword. Some of them had even faded away.
But no matter how he looked at it, it was nothing but an ordinary metal sword that rusted with time. Yet he was feeling a strange urge to take this sword with him. This left him feeling unsettled.
"What sword is this?" Long feng asked, speaking to the old man.
"This sword is nameless. The old Clan Chief said that it might be a Yin armament which was destroyed in battle, but now, we don't know what grade it is. It doesn't emits any aura so we just kept it here. why don't you look for a better weapon?" The elder replied.
"Nameless yin armament? That doesn't sound right." Long Feng muttered and reached out to caress the rust on the sword. Touching it have him a strange feeling akin to meeting an acquaintance after a long time. He looked at the sword closely, and found out that there was a symbol on the sword's blade. It looked faded and was almost gone with the rust as well, but he could still make it out. It was a circular symbol very similar to the mark he found on his forehead, just lacking the three dragons.
Instead, the left side was pitch black, the right was pure white and the two were separated by a thin line. Seeing the symbol made Long feng stunned. That was nearly the symbol which appeared on his forehead the first time he saw the three Dragons! If he took this sword, he may be able to know more about the Mysterious Dragons!
"I'm taking this sword!" He said, taking the sword. The elder was surprised"Are you sure about this boy? Don't make a hasty decision. That weapon has been here for decades. It has no use." Long Feng nodded.
"Senior, I know what I'm doing" he replied. He turned around and wanted to leave. The old man didn't stop him anymore. Instead, he sighed and moved elsewhere to continue sweeping.
"Youths. Always so hot blooded. Not every old thing is a treasure."
