[Leo] Yo. On the way back to Shai's to get changed. You guys started yet? [Phil] nah still out and about [Luka] we've got loads of time, why are you back so early? [Sam] Stupid question. Shai got the door open and they stepped inside before she quickly shut it behind them. Leo was about to say something about getting changed when she turned around, looked at him for a second and then kissed him. It wasn't the same brief kiss from the night before or the ones they'd been doing throughout the day. This one was hot and passionate. He felt her tongue slip into his mouth and his brain registered surprise before the rest of him caught up and he kissed her back properly.

His hands found her waist and pulled her closer. Hers moved up his chest, fingers curling into the fabric of his shirt, and he felt her lean her whole body into him. He walked her back a step until she was against the wall, and she made a small sound against his mouth that did nothing to help him think clearly. She's really into this. He pulled back just enough to look at her. She looked back at him, slightly flushed, her eyes filled with a hunger he hadn't seen from her before now. He liked it. While he hadn't seen that coming, he wasn't going to complain. He reached down and cupped her arse before squeezing. She gasped quietly and pressed closer. Okay, this is definitely happening. Then his UI lit up. His eyes went to it without thinking, the way they always did, and he caught the string of notifications stacking up.

Shai watched his face do the thing it did when he was looking at the UI and took a small breath.

"We really should get ready." He sighed and nodded.

"You're right. We're not done with this though."

"Definitely not." She smirked and headed off to the bedroom. He opened the UI and began to read. [Phil] leo [Sam] Leo [Luka] leooooo [Phil] he's totally banging [Sam] Why else wouldn't he be answering [Parmo] Leo if you're fucking don't answer [Phil]... Leo closed the UI and walked into the bedroom.

"When you say later..."

Parmo finished looking at the UI and noticed Rika staring at him.

"What?"

"Nothing, just wondering what's so interesting."

"Just the group chat."

"Oh? Anything interesting?" He thought for a moment on whether or not he should mention Leo's last comment.

"We may have accidentally just cock blocked Leo."

"What does that mea... Brandon!"

"Why do we need to be there so early?" Leo asked, pulling his jacket out of his inventory. Shai looked at him over her shoulder.

"You'll find out soon." She smiled.

"Be patient." He rolled his eyes.

"You're having way too much fun keeping me in the dark." Shai went first with the tub. Leo sat in the main room and waited, which took longer than he expected. When she came out, she was wearing a towel and not much else. It sat low enough that he could see the curve of her waist, and her tail lifted the back of it just enough that he got a suggestion of what was underneath without quite seeing it. He knew she was doing it on purpose. He appreciated it anyway.

She grinned at him on the way past and disappeared toward the bedroom. The door swung most of the way shut and then stopped.

"Do me a favour." Her voice came through the gap.

"Put this with the rest of the washing." The towel appeared through the gap, hanging off the end of her tail. Leo stood up, walked over, and took it. Her tail lingered for a second and then slowly withdrew behind the door. Which didn't close. He stood there. She was on the other side of that door with absolutely nothing on and she knew that he knew that, and the door was still open. I could just walk in. He could. She knew that too. He looked at the towel in his hand and then at the ceiling.

"You're a tease," he called through the gap. He heard her giggle from the other side as he turned and headed for the bathroom.

Leo looked at Shai when she came out of the bedroom. The dress was white with blue embroidery along the hem and neckline, gold detailing catching the light when she moved. Her hair was short enough that she hadn't done anything different with it but it suited her, the cut clean and sharp, and she'd put the watch back on her wrist.

"You look incredible," he said. Shai smiled.

"Thank you." She looked him up and down.

"You look really good too."

"Yeah?"

"Yeah." She picked up a small bag from the chair.

"Come on then."

The square was being set up when they arrived. Tables moved to the edges, a stage at the far end with lanterns being strung up around it, the whole space opening out into something that looked less like a festival and more like a proper party. Parmo and Rika were already there. Rika had changed into a dress, mostly blue with white and gold detailing, the same colours as Shai's but heavier on the blue. Huh. I guess matching outfits is a thing here as well.

"So," Parmo said, looking between the four of them.

"Does anyone want to explain why we need to be here early but the others don't?" Rika grinned.

"You're about to find out." Leo followed her eyeline. Koss was walking toward them across the square, unhurried, dressed in the same colours as the other two but in something that wasn't from Monkhaven, older looking, more formal, the kind of thing that had been worn to occasions like this before.

"Nice to see you all," she said. She looked at Shai and Rika.

"You both look beautiful."

"Thank you," they said, more or less together. Koss turned to Leo and Parmo.

"You both look very nice as well." She tilted her head slightly.

"Although something feels wrong." Parmo looked down at himself.

"What, you don't like the suit?" He flexed. Leo closed his eyes briefly. Idiot. Koss grinned.

"It's a lovely suit. I just had something else in mind." Kai appeared behind them. Leo hadn't heard him coming.

"If you could lead these two gentlemen through please, Kai," Koss said.

"Thank you, dear." Kai nodded and turned toward the fabric flap covering the door beside the stage. He glanced back at them once. Leo and Parmo looked at each other and followed him through.
