Chương 268: Haitus Update!

Hi Everyone! It's been awhile and a lot has gone on that has prevented me from writing. I am way behind my schedule so I'm pushing my hiatus back until October 23rd (though I may end up pushing it back more if things don't improve). Let me explain. To start with. I ended up coming down with a 3 week cold. That's right. For three whole weeks I was sick and couldn't do any writing. Apparently that virus was going around my area because I heard from another person that they'd also been sick for three weeks.

Did I mention that this was to start with, because it's about to get a lot worse? To give myself time to write during the summer, I signed my son up for summer day camp. He was supposed to be able to stay there long enough that I'd have 4-6 hours of writing time, every weekday. Unfortunately, my boy is still just a little kid. He had some problems that almost got him kicked out. Mostly, he just wanted to do his own thing and go where he wanted instead of staying with the group.

Understandable but not acceptable when you're at camp with other kids who are all supposed to be doing the same group activity. The genuine version of this novel can be found on another site. Support the author by reading it there. Fortunately, we changed his behavior for the next several weeks, and eventually he was no longer at risk for getting kicked out. But we also had to limit his time there and he was prevented from going there on their field trip day.

This made me lose a whole day of writing a week, along with 2-3 hours I'd been expecting to have. Still, I was able to get some writing done! Just not enough. T. T There were other factors limiting my writing time as well which I go into in my most recent Patreon post. Mostly an intense war against the vile ants that have invaded my area and my home, my extremely painful sprained knee I'm now going to physical therapy for, and my boy reverting to his bad behavior this past week. I am writing. I have progress!

It's just going a lot slower than I'd like. I blame Lin's curse! She's upped her game and has set ants on me! Thank you so much for your patience and I apologize for taking so long. - T. D. Rochester
