Lucas gave her a weird look then glanced at her belly.
"With how much you eat, you should have paid me instead." Malia suddenly went silent and looked around as if she hadn't heard anything. Looking away from her, he then looked back at Stiles.
"Don't worry, you don't have to do anything bad. The most important thing is to find out what kind of shapeshifter you are." Stiles glanced at him suspiciously.
"Am I not a werewolf?"
"I don't know." Lucas was curious if Stiles became something similar to one of the creatures he killed and absorbed.
"Just close your eyes, and try to let your inner beast out." Stiles looked at him speechless and he reluctantly did so, after a couple of minutes he opened his eyes again with no success.
"Has anyone told you that you suck at teaching?" Lucas massaged his forehead, telling himself not to kill him.
"Maybe you're just too stupid, did anyone tell you that?" Just as Stiles opened his mouth, Lydia raised her hand and spoke.
"I did." Stiles swallowed the words that he was about to say and gave Lydia a hurt look.
"Thanks a lot." Lydia smiled and gave him a side eye.
"You're welcome." Already tired of teaching, master Lucas grabbed Scott and Stiles and pushed them towards the elevator.
"Go home now, we can talk about this later."
"But.." Stiles tried to protest, but Lucas just shoved them inside, pressed the button, and the sliding doors closed.
"How nice of you." Lydia suddenly appeared behind him and glanced at him smugly.
"What are you talking about?" He ignored her and went into the kitchen to grab a coffee. This story originates from Royal Road. Ensure the author gets the support they deserve by reading it there. Unfortunately for him, she followed him persistently and watched his every move. Feeling slightly irritated, he looked at her.
"Just say what you want to say." Lydia smiled as she lifted her head as if she had won some kind of prize.
"You just wanted to help him." He rolled his eyes at her and responded sarcastically.
"Wow, you should be a detective." Lucas then went and sat on the couch where Allison and Malia were already sitting. Lydia sat not far and spoke again.
"It's obvious you want to help him financially." Lucas only glanced at her once and ignored her, obviously not in the mood to talk. ••••"Click!" Stiles inserted the key and opened the door, the moment he walked in he saw his father preparing to go to work. The second that Noah saw him, he grunted in displeasure.
"Look who's here, my lost son." Stiles smiled awkwardly, "I'm sorry, I should have called you." Noah observed him suspiciously for a couple of seconds then he let it slip as he was already late to work. After watching him leave, Stiles went into the kitchen to grab some food, on the table he couldn't help but notice some mail. The moment he opened it he saw that it was the money they owed to the hospital. His face struggled as he saw the amount written on it.
Thinking of how hard his father worked, and that he could only watch him drown in alcohol made him feel uncomfortable. Suddenly Lucas' job offer came to mind, at first he took it as a joke but as he looked at the amount that his father had to pay, his thoughts constantly collided. Stiles put a hand on the table as he stared in a daze at the letter.
"Mom…what should I do?" •••• Having no idea of Stiles' struggle, Lucas roamed the forest with no care in the world. Besides him stood Malia, who was sniffing from time to time. The stars could already be seen in the sky and the forest looked oddly eerie.
"Found it!" Malia suddenly exclaimed, then started running in a certain direction. Lucas smiled and ran behind her at a leisurely pace, this brought memories of his first race with her. After they ran about 10 minutes, they came across some wooden houses. Right in the middle there was a fire where you could see more than a dozen people talking and enjoying themselves.
"Crunch!" The sudden sound made all of them turn their heads at the same time, and when they saw Malia and Lucas their expressions changed. A youth bravely came forward and stood right in front of them, shielding the others.
"Who are you?" Lucas glanced at the others in the back, then at the man in front of him.
"Shouldn't you introduce yourself first before asking?"
"Brett Talbot." Brett then raised his eyebrows at Lucas. Lucas smiled as he somewhat remembered the man in front of him.
"I think that you may have heard of me, my name is Lucas Ashford." The people in the back went silent, and Brett took a step back, but then his eyes turned yellow.
"You were the one who hurt Satomi!"
