Chương 93: Chapter 94: Joe

Scantily clad women roamed the large open floor carrying drinks and food on trays to both male and female patrons. Other women sat next to patrons and allowed themselves to be gripped and fondled by them after they transferred them some credits. Naked women danced sometimes alone and other times with other naked women using poles on stages or platforms that floated through the air. Patrons tipped them by pressing their unibands against terminals.

"It's a strip club," Adam said in surprise.

"No, it's a brothel," Stacey replied calmly.

"What?" Adam replied in shock as he looked towards her with a smirk.

"Wipe that look off your face, pervert. We're here to work," Stacey said with a pout before she huffed and walked away. Adam shook his head before he followed Stacey, who walked towards the bar that was against one wall.

"Stacey, you're here, and I see you brought a friend." A guy who was serving drinks behind a bar said as he saw Stacey and Adam approaching.

"Hey Joe, good to see you," Stacey said before she placed the case on the top of the bar and slid it over to Joe, who took it.

"Nice work, I will pass this over to Jessie. What can I get you?" Joe replied.

"The usual for me," Stacey said before turning to Adam.

"Got any God's Oasis?" Adam replied, causing Stacey and Joe to stare at him for a moment before breaking out in laughter.

"HAHAHAHAHA""Got any... got any God's Oasis he asks, hahaha." Joe said as he slapped the bar top in amusement before asking, "Who is this guy, Stacey? He knows how to crack a joke that's for sure."

"Hehehe, He's a friend, but I didn't realise he knew how to crack jokes hehehe." Adam stared at the two curiously for a moment before remembering what Greg said.

"Riiggghhhtttt, it's super rare, isn't it?"

"That's putting it mildly; some people never get the chance to try it. If there's any on Trillion, it's up in the sky towers with those rich fucks." Joe replied as he continued to chuckle in amusement.

"Then I will just go with that," Adam said as he pointed at a drink he remembered having back on Palaxia. It was nowhere near as good as God's Oasis, but it wasn't bad either.

"Coming right up." Joe replied as he moved away to make their drinks while snickering, "God's Oasis hahaha."

"I can't believe you thought to ask for a God's Oasis. No one has ever had the chance to try that down here, we're basically in the slums," Stacey said while looking at Adam with mirth in her beautiful orange-red eyes.

"Doesn't hurt to ask," Adam replied with a shrug.

"Sure, if you don't mind getting laughed at," Stacey replied. Joe soon returned with their drinks before saying, "I'm gonna drop this into Jessie, and I will be back to catch up."

"Who's Jessie?" Adam asked as he watched Joe leave through a door behind the bar.

"The leader of the eighty-sixers, she basically runs this sector of Trillion," Stacey replied after taking a swig of her orange coloured drink.

"Will we meet her?" Adam asked as he took a sip of his own.

"Unlikely. She usually stays in the back unless something big is happening; a lot of rival gangs from other sectors would love a chance to knock her off. Although the girls out front weed out most of those who try to sneak in, there are always a few who get through." "So are you exclusive to the eighty-sixers or do you work with other gangs?"

"I'm technically a free agent and can work with any of the gangs, but since I grew up in this sector and know most of the people here, I tend to mainly work with the eighty-sixers."

"Do you trust them?"

"Not fully, but more than any of the other gangs on Trillion," Stacey replied as the door behind the bar opened again and Joe came out.

"Jessie is satisfied with the package and already has a buyer lined up for it, she says you will have your pay momentarily," Joe said as he approached.

"Glad to hear it," Stacey replied.

"I heard there was some trouble on route," Joe replied.

"How did you hear that?" Stacey asked with a raised eyebrow..

"Word gets around, especially when it's hot news on the newscasts," Joe replied while pointing at the big holographic screen on one wall that showed an attractive alien woman with several screens that all showed different images and videos playing behind her.

"It was on the newscasts?" Stacey asked suspiciously.

"Not exactly. The newscasts reported that a ship got knocked out of FTL and was surprisingly saved by Diva Rowena Nosferatu's familiar. Jessie's connections informed her that the same mega Corp that had approached her wanting to buy the product but pulled out after they refused her price, hired people to snatch something in transit. After that, she put two and two together and figured it must have been your ship that was attacked."

"Fucking corpos." Stacey cursed.

"Still, I wonder why Diva Rowena Nosferatu's familiar intervened," Joe said, giving Stacey a look. Stacey didn't reply and instead just stared back calmly, making Joe smile before he turned to Adam and said, "I never thought the guy who saved Diva Lorelie would be a friend of Stacey's and also be drinking at my bar."

"They figured that out, huh?" Adam replied before taking another sip of his drink.

"Don't knock Sinead Quintana, she's one of the best investigative reporters in the universe; if she finds you interesting, it normally leads to bad news," Joe said with a chuckle.

"Who?" Adam asked.

"You don't know who Sinead Quintana is? Have you been living under an asteroid or something?" Joe said, before pointing at the holographic screen again, that it was still showing the same attractive alien woman.

"Not quite, I'm from outside the known universe." Joe whistled before commenting, "Well, that explains it. You'd better hope that the fact they can't access anything about your stream does not pique her interest. How are you managing that by the way?" Adam didn't respond and just took another drink.

"Well, everyone has their secrets, but that's a pretty big deal. Normally, only the super-powerful and rich can arrange to have data altered on the universal subspace network since rumour says only those who helped create it have access to alter stuff and there are only a few of them still alive today." Joe replied before asking as an afterthought.

"You're not streaming now, are you?"

"No," Adam replied.

"Maybe you should, streamers always seem to make big bucks when streaming in strip clubs and brothels," Joe said with a smirk.

"No, he shouldn't," Stacey said, earning a look from Adam and Joe.

"Is that a common thing?" Adam asked.

"Sure, look over there," Joe said before pointing to a table that had a surprisingly well-dressed Terran male surrounded by half-naked women.

"That's Max Parks, or as he goes by as a streamer, Maximus. He's currently streaming right now."

"Ugh, that dickhead." Stacey groaned as she looked away from him.

"Friend of yours?" Adam asked with a smirk.

"He wishes," Stacey replied.

"No, he just wishes to get in your pants, you're one of the few women who work here that he hasn't had sex with after all, or so he thinks," Joe replied with a chuckle.

"That's because he fails to understand that I don't work here and he can't pay me for sex. I just work out of here sometimes when you guys have a job for me." Stacey replied sourly.

"So he basically can't get himself laid without using his money? He seems surprisingly well-dressed compared to everyone else. No offence." Adam said as he shot Max a quick glance.

"I'm not surprised you noticed. He does tend to stand out. The reason for that is that his family actually lives in one of the sky towers, while they're not the most powerful and influential, they still have some sway." Joe explained.

"Do people from the sky towers normally come down here? The way you explained it before made it sound like they don't." Adam looked at Stacey and asked. Stacey shook her head before saying, "No, most of those rich fuckers think they're too good for the likes of us, the only reason those like that dickhead come down here is to get their dick sucked or pussy pumped easier."

"Yeah, they apparently don't approve of brothels up there and streaming sexual content is even more frowned upon, even though it apparently earns him shit loads," Joe replied.

"I'm not surprised, porn is a big money maker back on Earth," Adam replied.

"Porn…. Earth?" Joe asked while Stacey also showed a confused expression.

"Earth is the name of the planet I am from. Porn stands for pornography. Basically, it's printed or visual material containing the explicit description or display of sexual organs or activity, it's intended to stimulate sexual excitement." Adam explained before adding.

"It's basically what that guy is doing; he's selling his viewers the opportunity to watch him have sex with women."
