Chương 114: Chapter 115: We have jump gates so this won’t happen

Over the next couple of days, Adam generally relaxed in Becky's bar except for the times that he had to accompany Stacey outside on 'important' matters, as she called them, since he was still acting as her bodyguard, with Susan sometimes coming along as well. However, it soon became apparent that these 'important' matters seemed suspiciously like what people did when they went out on dates, not that he ever mentioned this to her.

Today, Adam, Stacey and Susan were once again relaxing on what was quickly becoming their private couch in the bar area while waiting for a special broadcast from USNN to begin on the large holographic display on the wall.

"Well, if it isn't Stacey." A male voice suddenly said, causing the three to look up at a male Terran they all recognised as Max Parks standing before them.

"Max," Stacey replied coldly, causing Susan to cover her mouth as she giggled quietly.

"Care to come join me for a drink before I start my stream?" Max asked with a smile.

"No thanks, I'm here with my friends."

"I can see, aren't you going to introduce me?"

"Susan, Adam, this is Max Parks. Max, this is Susan and Adam."

"A pleasure," Max said politely.

"Same," Adam replied while Susan just nodded.

"Might I join you?" Stacey was about to reply, but Susan beat her to it as she suddenly snuggled closer to Adam while saying, "I'm afraid we will have to politely refuse, our boyfriend just returned from off-world and we want to spend as much time with him as possible."

"Boyfriend?" Max asked in surprise as he looked at Stacey, who was suddenly blushing before asking, "I thought Stacey said you were just friends."

"Poor Stacey, you know how shy she can be about these things," Susan replied as Stacey shot her a dirty look.

"It's silly, really, considering how wild she is when the three of us are alone, but it's fine since Adam here is more than capable of handling us both."

"Is that right?" Max replied as he tried to maintain his amicable smile. Adam, though confused by what Susan was doing, decided to play along and so turned to her and said, "She's not the only wild one, plus I've heard what the two of you get up to when I'm not here." This time, it was Susan's turn to blush slightly before she outed and smacked his arm while saying, "You never complained about it before."

"Was I complaining? I like you both wild." Adam replied as he wrapped an arm around Stacey, who by now was bright red and pulled her into a hug. Though embarrassed by what the other two were saying, Stacey didn't pull away and instead took advantage of Adam's move by burying herself deeper into his embrace with a smile.

"Good to know, but seriously, the two of us can't handle you alone; maybe we should invite Jessie to join us next time since she's single," Susan said with a thoughtful look before she mimicked Stacey and buried herself deeper into Adam. Joe, who had been paying attention since Max's arrival from behind the bar, snorted with laughter before quickly covering it up as a chuckle as he continued to wipe the spot he had been wiping for the last couple of minutes.

Max could be seen biting his cheek as he tried to maintain his dignity. He was about to respond, but everyone in the bar had their attention drawn to the large holographic screen on the wall.

"Who the hell jumps directly above a planet? Even if their ship is capable of it, we have jump gates, so this sort of thing won't happen." The pilot complained as she forced the ship to descend.

"I think someone's trying to make a statement, after all, universal space mariner law states that capable ships are not allowed to hyperspace jump directly next to a planet in case something like this happens."

"Fuck, if that was the case, I would have jumped us here directly instead of having to queue at the damn jump gates." The pilot cursed.

As they watched, they saw something emerging from the black void, but instead of the front of a massive ship like they were expecting, everyone was shocked to see the maw of a giant dragon.
