Outside the Dragon's Nest, it was pure chaos. A mob of Brotherly Rabbits and Kobolds had Yamaguchi Mura Chicken surrounded. They hadn't attacked yet, because what he was doing made no sense to anyone present. The monsters stared, baffled, at this bizarrely dressed human who smelled like a chemical spill. He was dancing. Yamaguchi Mura Chicken had thrown caution to the wind. He'd noticed the monsters' attention locking onto him and ran with it.
"That's right, just like this! Pull their focus, then lure out the dragon..." He kept moving as the thoughts raced through his head.
"But if I just stand here wiggling, I'm dead in two minutes..."
"Yosh! I need to add some flair!" As the heir to a major player in the Sakura adult film industry, he had personally witnessed more than a few alluring performances. In his old body, half those moves would've been physically impossible. But he was a warrior now. Every physical attribute had been upgraded across the board, coordination, flexibility, imitation ability included. He looked around. There. A small sapling, not far off. His eyes lit up. Perfect prop.
Yamaguchi Mura Chicken covered the distance in three quick steps. He swiveled his hips, a seductive smile plastered across his face, those fire-red lips stretched wide like something that wanted to eat you. He reached the sapling and let the memories roll in, every provocative routine he'd ever watched, pulled up on demand. His thick arm extended and curled softly around the sapling's trunk. Beneath the flimsy red gossamer skirt, a heavily hair-covered muscular leg bent at the knee and lifted.
He dipped his torso forward. His neck arched back and up. His substantial rear end followed, angled skyward. His waist rolled. He shot a long, smoldering look at the assembled monsters and threw them a wink. An isekai pole dance had begun. Up on the cliff face, David Jones and the others had gone completely still. They'd been watching the Dragon's Nest. Now they were watching this. Despite themselves, their expressions had softened into something that resembled appreciation. David Jones, especially.
He actually licked his lips through his full beard.
"Well, I'll be damned~ Sweetheart, your nephew's got something." He pressed a loud smacking kiss to the side of Ohguchi Akase's head where she sat curled against his chest, his voice carrying unmistakable interest.
"Disgusting!" Ohguchi Akase thumped his chest with her fist, cheeks flushing.
"If you like Yamaguchi Mura Chicken that much, fine, after this fight, I'll introduce you properly. But." She jabbed a finger at him.
"Don't you dare forget about your little sweetheart~" This story has been unlawfully obtained without the author's consent. Report any appearances on Amazon. David Jones beamed. He smacked another few kisses onto her face, his expression shifting to one of solemn sincerity.
"Sweetheart, you will always — always — be the best sweetheart in the world. I swear to God."
"Enough flirting." Medraco's voice cut in flat and sharp.
"The dragon's out." Everyone snapped their eyes toward the Dragon's Nest. A black dragon emerged from the mouth of the cave and dropped onto the rocky outcropping above, over ten meters from snout to tail, wingspan pushing twenty. It landed without hurry, its silhouette filling the ridgeline. Even from hundreds of meters away, the weight of its presence pressed down on them like something physical.
"Damn it." Medraco had his body pressed low, voice barely above a breath.
"Yamaguchi Mura Chicken's intel is garbage."
"This dragon is already Tier 4."
"And it's this big? That useless piece of trash can't even run basic recon right. What is he doing all day, eating dirt?"
"Hold on." David Jones had gone tense.
"Can we not kill a Tier 4?" They'd run the numbers. Players without enough Invasion Points could only respawn so many times, die a dozen or so and you ended up starving in the World Square with nothing to eat. Every life counted.
"We can kill it," Medraco said.
"Might just cost a few extra rounds." He was already back at the scope, tracking the dragon's slow movement across the rock face.
"The bigger size helps, actually. Easier to put one through its head." His finger rested on the trigger. The muzzle drifted, following.
"Good... just like that... a little further... yes..."
"Tell Yamaguchi Mura Chicken to keep dancing. Don't let him stop. Dragons are sharp, we need its attention anywhere but here."
At the Dragon's Nest entrance, Yamaguchi Mura Chicken glanced at the message that had just come through the party channel. He pursed his lips. His expression went another shade deeper into seductive. His hips swung with renewed conviction. Standing on the rock above, Su Nian stared down at him.
"This person is a Sakura player... Yamaguchi Mura Chicken?"
"And he came to dance in front of my Dragon's Nest. In that outfit." Su Nian was genuinely at a loss. Had this player lost his mind? He pulled up Yamaguchi Mura Chicken's information panel. Status: normal, aside from some fatigue. No madness debuff. Nothing like what Mei Magogoko had. Despicable outsiders. These players were definitely running a scheme. Without another word, Su Nian reached back and scooped up his precious cargo, tucking her against his chest so only two small furry ears poked out over his foreleg.
"Mmm... Brother~ Anna can protect you now, you know~ You don't have to hold Anna like this~" Anna wriggled free enough to show her face. She blinked her big eyes up at him, heart warm and fluttering, but she pushed back anyway, just a little.
"Anna, be good~ You don't have scales like mine. What if—" BOOM! The shot came from somewhere along the cliff face. Almost the same instant, a sharp wind pressure slammed directly into one of Su Nian's eyes. He shut it on reflex. DING. Sparks scattered. A sting bloomed across his eyelid, like a mosquito bite. Su Nian opened his eye. Something clinked on stone somewhere below. He followed the sound. A deformed brass-colored pellet was rolling across the ground.
"This is, this is a bullet!"
"What the hell, there's a gun?!" He didn't even have time to finish being surprised. Anna had already gone semi-dragonized. She tore free from his hold in one motion, wings snapping open, and launched herself into the air. She hung there, suspended in the darkness. Her eyes burned gold-red, two searchlights cutting through the night, aimed straight at where the shot had come from.
"Oh! God! What, what the hell is that!" Medraco's calm had evaporated. The dragon tanking a bullet off its eyelid was already absurd. But that elf, Dragon horns. Dragon wings. Those blazing golden eyes. The pressure rolling off her was immense. He threw an Appraisal at her. It came back almost blank. [Anna Hathaway (Dragon Elf)] [Strength: Dragon Tongue Archmage (Tier 3)] [Other:???]" Damn it! Yamaguchi Mura Chicken, you stupid son of a bitch! Satan's demon shit! God's diaper!"
"Where's the frail elf you told us about!" Medraco's composure had completely collapsed. He stared through the scope with wide, hollow eyes. Because the elf floating in the darkness was chanting. Her voice rang out, clear and loud. And in front of her, already fully formed and spinning slowly in the night air, was a Fireball with a three-meter diameter. (Three meters across. A standard bed is about two meters. Picture accordingly.) ➤ Next: Kiss-Kiss Healing
