"Thermal energy," he said, sounding disappointed.

"Even when conjured by mana, requires a medium to travel. I simply removed the space between us. Your fire has nowhere to burn." "What will you do?" he asked. I looked at the water, [Void Perception] still active. Space is a Law. Fire relies on rules — fuel, oxygen, heat. If he removes the medium, the fire dies, even if it is the product of a massive amount of mana. But what if my fire was the Law? The Flame would work since it wasn't just fire. "A mistake," he vibrated, raising a hand to delete me. I reached into my Soul, grabbing hold of the Flame within. I cast it outwards, feeding it into the Void.

"I deny the emptiness!" I silently roared. I opened the floodgates. I poured every drop of my Essence into a singular command. Burn it all. I turned myself into a wick. The Void didn't want to burn. It had nothing to burn. But the Flame consumed everything. White golden flames replaced the grey. It looked like the collapse of a star. A raging, infernal cyclone of pure white authority erupted from my body. It didn't expand outward; it ate all of reality around it.

It latched onto the causal strings Korthos was using to move and ignited them.

"What?" Korthos faltered, his hand freezing mid-strike. The grey world around us turned blinding white. The fire roared, a sound that transcended ears. It was burning the coordinates. Korthos screamed.
