Timeline Occurs shortly after Chapter 63 (Murder Pigs). Buster woke up from his nap inside the pigpen. His three siblings were still asleep beside him. He was hungry and wanted to stretch his legs, and there was no point wasting the day inside the fence. He just could not figure out why his siblings thought that this was the border of where they could go. Buster smelt the food. The loud human was doing his thing.
Walking into the kitchen, he saw the loud human mixing something in a bowl and then pouring it on that hot thing that burns. Then he pulled one off and turned around to pet me. Hum, why did he jump? I was here for food. Of course. Loud Human had seen him and was sharing breakfast. I ate up the food, and for some reason a loud human kicked at me and tried to hit me with his stick thing in his hands. This was the game that he and loud human has. He feeds me; he waves arms and stomps feet.
I just tell him thanks and walk away before he throws me back in the pigpen. Mission accomplished. Buster next went over and found the two little humans. They were playing in the forest not too far from the loud humans' cooking spot. He went over and head-butted the little boy. The boy instantly scratched him behind the ears. He knew exactly how he liked it. Buster then rolled on his back and let him scratch his belly; this was the best part. Buster finally looked at the other one.
She was more serious than the human boy, but she knew how to do things right. Buster pushed her hand, and she started to rub his back. He then got her to scratch under his chin and finally got her to rub his belly. This was the life, and he loved these little humans. Maybe they could teach the loud one a thing or two. Buster was a little thirsty, so he headed in the direction of the water he could hear. Along the way he found a square cage with a razor rabbit in it. He circled it and poked it.
He was still hungry enough he could eat it. But for some reason this rabbit was like his siblings and did not leave the cage. Oh well, he could play with this one later. For some reason the rabbit jumped up and down, mad that he did not stay to play. Buster continued toward the stream. He found a mouse and chased it down. The silly thing was not smart. Hardly worth the effort to eat, so he just headbutted it till it fell over and then walked on.
The next thing he found was a squirrel; these guys were worth eating, so he chased it in and around the trees until it chittered and climbed on. Buster had yet to figure that trick out, so he just watched it, waiting for it to come down. Buster finally made it to the water; it was a small stream. The water was the best, nice and cold, not warm like what was in the trough. This stuff was way better and was where he preferred to drink. While drinking, he found a fish that was stuck inside some rocks.
Stupid thing, rocks were like fences; you just, you know, do your thing, and you're past them. So buster decided he was going to let it out. So he pushed a rock aside, and it went away. As an afterthought he realized he should have eaten it; he was still a little hungry. If you spot this story on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation. Buster smelled more food, not from the loud human but near the cave with the good monster smells coming from it, so he headed that way.
On the way there he found Bramble. He really did not like bramble. Bramble always growled at him and threatened to eat him. Of course that would make him mad, and he would try to ram him with his tusks, but they were too small. Human girl always got in the way, so he decided it was not worth the conversation with her and just left. When he got to the cave, he walked past people heading for the cooking spot to get food. All of a sudden, there were humans running around.
Pointing at him and pulling out their big sticks, waving them at him. He looked at the humans, looked toward the food, and thought. Sitting down, he could not decide whether to go through them and get food anyway or go back to the loud human to get food or back to the forest. Who needed humans. Back into the forest it was. Buster went back into the forest; he wanted to find one of those rabbits to play with, and if he could catch it, it would make a good snack.
He first found dead trees; they liked hiding under them, and he started pushing and rocking the trees to see if he could find one. The first three he looked at, he found nothing. Finally, the fourth one, a mouse ran out. Again, he hated those and just let it run off. Next, he looked for dead stumps. He found a tree that some human was cutting down and walked over and started rooting under it and pushed it up and over.
The human waved a long stick with something funny stuck on the end of it, so he just left him to whatever he was doing and continued on. Those rabbits were being sneaky today; he knew there had to be one, though, and he wanted a good chase. Finally he found one. He chased it to a new tree; it dived underneath it, so he moved the tree and chased it again. This was fun. This one wanted to play games with him. He continued this for a good long while until the thing was lying on its side shaking.
It must have run out of energy or gotten squashed by one of the trees they were playing with. Loud Human was always making food taste better. Perhaps Loud Human would know what to do with the rabbit. He went into the kitchen and found a loud human making something. Buster went up and bit him on the ankle to tell him he was there. The loud human jumped and turned around and dropped a cooked fish on the ground for him.
So Buster dropped his rabbit that was for some reason starting to wiggle around, picked up his fish, and walked off. The loud human was, of course, waving his arms, pointing at the rabbit. He then tried to kick Buster, but he was too fast. Just our normal game. Buster decided he was tired after his long day out adventuring and went back over near the pigpen. He could see his siblings on the other side of the fence sleeping. So he joined them and went to sleep.
Dale started to scream, "Ava, that stupid murder pig is out again!" Ava said, "I don't think so; let me go check." Walking over to the pigpen, Ava counts 1, 2, 3, and 4. She reached down and scratched Buster behind the ears.
"See? You've been here the whole time." Ava said, "Dale, I think you're imagining things." Dale said, "How do you explain this half-dead razor rabbit sitting at my feet and my missing fish I was cooking for dinner?" Ava laughed.
"I think you're just making things up."
