Chương 166: Deception.

Ultra fighter looked at Tsunade who had arrived at the top of the Hokage Rock Mountain and she was already looking at him. Sigh…

"Are you being serious? A regressor? I've… only heard about such people in the stupid stories that Jiraiya writes." Tsunade asked, bewildered.

"So you do read his books…" Ultra fighter chuckled causing Tsunade to shoot a glare his way.

"Why did you take away his memories then?" Tsunade asked softly, causing Ultra Fighter to float a little further on the Hokage rock, right up to the edge where he stopped and spoke gently.

"Can you imagine it?"

"Imagine what?"

"The weight of the responsibility one must feel when they have to save the world?"

"Huh? I guess…"

"No… I don't think you can guess… the kid was practically trembling in his boots the day he received his memories. He nearly wanted to hang himself after he learnt about the future, about his dead friends, about his dead teachers… The revelation dropped down on him like a burden rather than a blessing. All he could think about was his failure. In the end he decided to take away his own life… I just happened to be floating by right then… and so I helped him out a little… by taking that burden from him."

Tsunade fell silent. After a while of her staring at the village in silence she asked another question.

"Then why did you give the kid those two jutsu?"

"I just felt guilty that I took more than I could give that kid at that moment. For someone who does not know the future, access to it is a great allure. So I gave him, and plan to give him various jutsu as and when I exchange them from my organisation." Tsunade frowned.

"There's that organisation of yours again. Care to tell me more about it? Or is that going to remain just as mysterious as before?"

"Well… I can't really say much since I'm not a high level employee in the organisation…" Tsunade's brows shot up.

"That was only because I had the element of surprise on my side." Ultra Fighter shook his head, "And plus, you've seen the jutsu Haruto-kun has… you know his potential in the future is even greater than mine. My organisation has people like him, powerful people."

"Huh…" Tsunade looked unsure of what to believe since the things she'd just been told were so unbelievable that she felt rather unsettled still. But she held on. She directed all her confusion into silent staring at the village. After a few minutes, Tsunade asked a simple question, "So… what happened in that other future? The one where the boy failed." Ultra Fighter narrated the entire Naruto story, only changing a few key details along the way, "...

Only, his closest aid betrayed him at the last second and after the Moon Eye plan was fully launched, the Otsutsuki Kaguya came down from the moon after possessing Madara and taking over his body. Haruto fought bravely against her and defeated her. But he lost the world to the Otsutsuki invasion that happened afterwards. Everyone died and he too died once the final boss of the Otsutsuki, Shibai Otsutsuki descended to take revenge for his fallen clan.

After a while, without looking at Ultra Fighter Tsunade asked him a question, "Hmm… are you serious? I became the fifth Hokage? You have got to be lying."

"Funny you focus on that rather than all the other crazy things I said… but as I said earlier… sometimes truth is stranger than fiction." Ultra Fighter said calmly.

"What of your organisation? Did it not do anything to stop those threats in the future?" Tsunade suddenly asked an important question.

"Surprisingly… it doesn't exist anywhere in his memories." Ultra Fighter said boldly.

"But that can also be explained."

"Explained how? Don't tell me you're going to cook up another story having to do with me being the Hokage."

"Ha…" Ultra Fighter chuckled.

"Not exactly. But in his memories there was a case of someone slipping into our world from a parallel world."

"A parallel world? You mean a world like ours? Do those even exist?" Ultra Fighter shrugged, "I don't know how they are possible… but it is likely that instead of travelling straight back in time, Haruto actually travelled into our world from a world where my organisation does not really exist."

"Your… claims are getting more and more ridiculous." Tsunade rolled her eyes. But in the end she just stayed quiet, digesting everything that had just been said between them. After a while Ultra Fighter told Tsunade something, "I left a scroll for you back at your house. I wrote it after possessing the child while he was sleeping. It should be in his room, in the drawer of his desk."

"What is that about?"

"It is a way to cure those people in the hospital…" Tsunade's eyes widened slightly, "I thought… you were only bluffing when you said you'd find a way to cure them."

"Well… technically I wasn't the one that found a way to cure them… it was my organisation… I just exchanged it for merit after explaining to them the symptoms."

"Ho…" Tsunade frowned.

"Do you really not know anything about your organisation? How do you know they're not run by the Akatsuki or even the Otsutsuki?"

"I only know how to contact them through a secret jutsu that lets us communicate with each other. Otherwise I'm as much of an outsider in the organisation's inner workings as you are."

"Can you share that contact method with me?"

"I'm sorry I can't…" Ultra Fighter shook his head.

"I've got stricter restrictions on that than Danzo had on his ROOT agents."

"How do you know they won't turn against us when everything settles." Ultra Fighter wanted to say, 'Because they don't exist.' but said something else instead, "According to what I was told when I joined, they've been guardians of the shinobi world since the dawn of chakra…"

"They didn't do much against the Otsutsuki now did they…" Tsunade complained. Soon, both Ultra Fighter and Tsunade kept their eyes on the village, staring at its peaceful outline while pondering about the future. While Tsunade thought about how tumultuous it would get, Ultra Fighter had a simple plan in his head, 'Get Hashirama, seal Madara away in Kyujurokkei Kakafumetsu, and then seal away Jigen and all the other Otsutsuki in their own Kyujurokkei Kakafumetsu, and then profit.'

Unless the Otsutsuki god came around and killed him for doing so. Sigh…

'What a troublesome life.'

"Alright." Tsunade said suddenly, and boldly, "You can flip the switch in me that will turn me from a scared fish to a dragon when I see blood."
