The sun glared down upon the battlefield like the wrathful eye of heaven itself, merciless and blinding in its white-hot fury, as if Michaelanius himself had gathered to watch the bloodiest day this land had ever known. Over five hundred thousand Dao warriors charged forward with ladders held high in a massive omnidirectional wave that covered the entire plain like a living sea of steel and unyielding fury.
The ground shook violently under the stampede of hundreds of thousands of feet, sending deep tremors through the earth as if the land itself feared what was coming and trembled in anticipation of the rivers of blood that would soon soak its soil. Thick clouds of dust rose into the sky, turning the air grey and choking, making every breath a painful struggle filled with the taste of dirt, blood, sweat, and burning pitch.
The screams of both sides mixed into one deafening roar that shook the hills themselves, a sound so vast and primal it seemed to split the very sky and echo for kilometers around like the voice of an angry monster demanding sacrifice. Arrows rained down like black hail, whistling through the air before piercing flesh and wood alike with merciless precision. Ladders slammed against the stone walls with thunderous crashes as men climbed like ants swarming a dying beast.
Bodies fell from the parapets like broken dolls, crashing into comrades below in sickening thuds that could be heard even over the chaos. The very air trembled under the weight of so many souls rushing toward death or glory, thick with the metallic scent of blood, churned soil, and raw, burning fear. The soldiers carrying the ladders were the true unsung heroes of this day.
They ran under constant bombardment, acid spewing monsters known as Bombardierer those are mutated, hexapedal terror bridging the gap between insect and mammal. Standing 2 meters tall and stretching 1, 80 meters wide, its heavily armored body moves with the predatory agility of a large hound. Two massive, multi-jointed rear legs propel it forward, while its thick, chitinous plates click rhythmically with every step. Its head features a pair of blank, milky compound eyes and heavy mandibles capable of crushing bone.
The most lethal aspect of the Bombardierer is its internal twin-chambered chemical furnace. When threatened or hunting or commanded, it unleashes a high-pressure, boiling-hot chemical spray from a specialized nozzle at the rear of its abdomen.
The Bombardierer's chemical weapon does not just burn on contact—it delivers a highly corrosive, lingering acid that systematically breaks down the molecular integrity of solid matter, heavy wooden and steel ladders balanced on their shoulders, shields held high above their heads with one arm while the other gripped the rung. Arrows whistled past their ears and thudded into flesh with wet thumps. Fiery cauldrons poured down from above, turning entire sections of climbers into screaming human torches.
Yet they did not stop. The fiery rage in their hearts burned hotter than the flames raining upon them.
"For the Dao! For our homes! For our dead! For Wujiren-Dao!" they roared, voices hoarse and filled with vengeance. Young boys barely old enough to grow beards and old farmers who had not held a weapon in decades carried the heavy ladders together, sweat pouring down their faces, muscles burning, knowing that one slip meant death for everyone behind them.
They pushed forward through the fire and steel, stepping over the charred corpses of their brothers, their eyes filled with fiery rage and unbreakable determination not to lose this day. Some sang the battle hymn even as they burned. Some cried for their mothers. Some simply screamed the name of their progenitor as they fell. The emotion was raw, the desperation real. They were not just soldiers...
they were fathers, sons, husbands, and farmers who had lost everything to the Moyonge and now refused to lose one more centimeter of their ancestral land. I followed Feng-Dao as he advanced toward a flank position. He had not yet summoned his Vestuto. His pure Earth Attribute radiated from him like the quiet crushing pressure of an ancient mountain that had stood for ten thousand years, unmovable and eternal. His steps were steady and heavy, each one planted with absolute certainty and power.
His glaive rested ready in his hands, its edge gleaming with restrained, deadly power. As we arrived the ladders finally reached the top. The defenders immediately tilted massive cauldrons over the walls. Boiling oil mixed with roaring flames poured down in waterfalls of death. The climbing soldiers turned into living torches in seconds again and again. Their skin bubbled and peeled away in blackened sheets. Flesh melted from bone in horrifying layers.
Men screamed in unimaginable agony as they fell from the ladders like fiery meteors. The stench of burning flesh and scorched hair filled the air and turned the stomach of even the strongest warriors. Bones cracked under the intense heat. Their screams rose into a horrifying symphony of suffering that echoed across the entire battlefield, a sound that would haunt every survivor for the rest of their days.
Feng-Dao leaped forward and began air-walking with focused determination, trying to disrupt the deadly flow of the cauldrons using only his raw Earth Attribute mastery. He slammed his glaive into the wall and sent powerful tremors through the stone, causing several cauldrons to tip back and spill their burning contents onto the defenders instead, burning them alive in their own trap.
I moved toward the back lines to support the climbing forces, my heart pounding with adrenaline and rage, with payback in mind thanks for them once having caused me a missing arm and injured a leg burning with every step, since i recovered. That was when the hidden entries opened from the back hidden in the lush grass beneath our steps. From concealed sally ports and secret passages built into the walls, fresh Moyonge units suddenly burst out like a swarm of angry hornets from their nests.
Daizou-Moyonge led the ambush. The fine-aged general with short hair and a powerful build roared as his forces struck our climbing troops from the side and rear. Panic exploded through our ranks like wildfire. Axes crashed against glaives in brutal ringing exchanges. Sparks flew wildly. Chaos spread like wildfire as men were cut down from behind while still trying to climb, their bodies tumbling down the ladders in broken heaps. I charged straight into the melee without hesitation.
There I met Daizou-Moyonge himself. His axe moved with terrifying strength and speed, each swing capable of cleaving a man in two. I had to summon my Cor Flamma Vestuto immediately to match his attacks. Our blades clashed with explosive force that sent shockwaves rolling outward, cracking the ground beneath our feet. While we fought, his ambush troops pressed hard from the hidden wall entries.
A smart strategist among them used the defensive situation perfectly, directing archers to rain death on our exposed climbers. Many of our warriors were shot down by concentrated arrows or cut apart from behind. I killed soldier after soldier, my flaming blade singing through the air, cutting limbs and burning bodies. I mocked the general openly as I gained the upper hand.
"A Suren thinks he can mock me, the great Daizou-Moyonge one of the 6 bearers of Moyonge!" he snarled in enraged fury, his eyes burning with pure hatred. He slammed a talisman from his neck against the symbols covering his face. His skin turned deathly grey like a corpse. The talismans infused him with dark power, inflating his muscles grotesquely. We battled deeper into the woods, far from the main fighting stage. Every clash of our weapons shattered trees and sent splinters exploding outward like shrapnel.
I still held control of the duel but I felt his strength pressing dangerously close to my own and soon would overshadow my Cor Flamma, which pumped my blood already with a strong beat. I gripped sword-axe with both hands and activated my strongest signature technique the Elsa di Fuoco (Hilt Fire Blaze). My hands superheated to extreme temperatures around three thousand degrees Celsius. The heat transferred into my sword-axe, turning the entire weapon into a blazing inferno.
The air around the blade shimmered with intense heat distortion. When I swung, it released a spreading flame aura cut, a wave of superheated fire that shot forward from the blade. Even if the opponent dodged the physical strike, the flame aura could still graze or burn them from a distance. My hands and the sword-axe glowed with intense yellow-orange fire, almost white at the hottest points. The trail of roaring flames melted armor and vaporized blood on contact. Daizou roared and charged like a mad bull.
I swung with full power. The flame aura cut sliced across his chest, burning deep into flesh and bone, causing him to scream in pain. He lost an arm in the next exchange, blood spraying in a wide arc, but the grey sludge immediately regenerated the limb in seconds. His skin shifted from grey to a more sickly grey as he lost more life force with every regeneration. He grew stronger for a brief moment but became visibly weaker overall, his movements turning slightly slower and more labored.
We fought for nearly an hour in a brutal, back-and-forth dance of death. He landed heavy blows that cracked my Vestuto and sent pain shooting through my body. I kept using Elsa di Fuoco again which was which each use weaker and weaker in heat, bursting the aura cuts that burned away his regenerating flesh in wide arcs of fire. His skin kept turning greyer, his life force draining rapidly with every forced regeneration.
He was close to getting me several times, his axe coming dangerously near my neck and chest, forcing me to dodge desperately. Finally he unleashed his ultimate attack a massive axe swing surrounded by swirling dark sludge energy that threatened to consume everything in its path. I barely dodged it, the attack grazing my shoulder and burning through part of my skin with searing pain. In that exact moment his body betrayed him completely. He vomited thick sludge from his mouth in violent streams.
His inflated muscles collapsed. His body compressed violently into an ugly amalgamation of dead corpse, grey and deformed, lifeless. Our one-hour battle ended with his death at my feet, the forest around us scorched and shattered, trees still burning from my flames. Around that time at the main gate, Zixuan-Dao stepped forward. His strong presence of Animo radiated outward with overwhelming power, pressing down on everyone nearby like an invisible mountain. He hurled his glaive veiled in roaring flames.
The weapon streaked through the air like a comet of pure fire and struck the unbreakable gate. In an instant the massive gate disintegrated into pure ash, collapsing in a swirling cloud of grey dust and opening the way for the army to pour inside. Yet inside waited one thousand fully transformed Moyonge units enhanced by the green-black-violet sludge tatouage they have recently received. They formed an unbreakable wall of death that halted twenty thousand of our charging soldiers in their tracks.
The battle there became bloody and insane as glaives hacked into mutated flesh and axes split skulls in a storm of gore that painted the stones red. The side battles raged with equal ferocity for hours across every section of the city walls and streets. Xhinpe-Dao, the grizzled war veteran, led the charge on the eastern wall. He wielded the Iron Dominion Attribute his body and glaive could turn temporarily into living metal, granting him near-impenetrable durability and razor-sharp cutting power.
He crashed into Wipu-Moyonge like two storms colliding. Wipu pushed massive gusts of air from his clouded armor and tried to pull Xhinpe into his killing range with terrifying strength. Their duel lasted over an hour of brutal back-and-forth. Xhinpe's metal form stood immovable against the wind. Finally he drove his iron glaive through Wipu's clouded armor, piercing his heart. As Wipu fell, he landed a fatal wind blade across Xhinpe's throat.
Both generals died together in a double death, their bodies locked in final combat on the blood-soaked wall. Zahyun-Dao struck the northern gate. He commanded the Storm Weaver Attribute, lightning chains that could arc between enemies and control the battlefield with explosive speed. He faced Lady Diao-Moyonge. Her three translucent blue shifts danced around him, dodging every strike with supernatural grace. Zahyun's lightning chains finally caught all three forms at once, electrocuting her.
As she reformed for a final desperate attack, Zahyun impaled her through the chest. She managed to land a fatal light blade through his heart. Another double death of two legends falling together in a flash of light and thunder. Fixun-Dao and Doyhou-Dao fought on the western and southern flanks. Fixun used the Verdant Wrath Vestuto light Attribute, vines of pure vital energy that could bind, pierce, and regenerate his own wounds.
Doyhou wielded the Crushing Stone Vestuto earth Attribute a gravity manipulation that made his strikes carry the weight of mountains. They battled Biyou-Moyonge and the 88-year-old darkness attributed veteran in a chaotic four-way melee that lasted nearly two hours. Fixun's vines entangled the old veteran while Doyhou crushed Biyou's liquefied armor with gravitational force. In the end, Fixun and Doyhou killed both Moyonge generals, but the cost was high.
The old veteran's tentacles tore Fixun apart in his final moments, and Biyou's water blades nearly fatally wounded Doyhou. One more death and a unconscious General, four great warriors falling together in a storm of vines, gravity, water, and darkness. From his high pavilion balcony the Moyonge leader Doyin-Moyonge sipped rice sake and ate a cracker. He smiled in delight as his defenses held everywhere. He decided to follow his plan and sent his nineteen-year-old son Washu-Moyonge to the back flank.
The young thunder Vestuto user could compress his body, make his armor crackle with electricity, multiply his Animo five times, and cause his eyes to blaze with living lightning. Doyin-Moyonge laughed loudly, gloating over his clever approach. Then Zixuan-Dao achieved the impossible. He broke through a wall that had stood unbreakable for centuries. A huge new wave of soldiers poured through the breach. The war took a violent new turn. In anger Doyin-Moyonge crushed his porcelain sake bottle with his fist.
Sake dripped down his hand. He licked it from his palm with a savage grin and leaped forward with his elite guards, his huge axe raised high. His earth attribute Vestuto transformed him into an ogre-like monster. He grew from one point eighty-two meters to two point one meters tall. White and red armor covered him. Three horns rose from his head, highlighting his barbarism.
His axe swing created a devastating shockwave that destroyed the gate behind him, killing two thousand of his own men and twenty-two thousand more caught in the rubble. Zixuan-Dao transformed into his fire attribute Vestuto. His armor burned super red. He hurled small comet-like projectiles at five thousand kilometers per hour, devastating entire sections of the city. His largest comet, two hundred meters wide and traveling at nine thousand kilometers per hour, flew straight toward Doyin-Moyonge.
The ogre shattered it into smithereens. Both leaders stood near equal in power. Zixuan-Dao at eighty-nine thousand Animo and Doyin-Moyonge at seventy-eight thousand. Their battle lasted for hours of brutal, earth-shaking combat as shockwaves rolled across the battlefield again and again, buildings collapsed, flames raged, and the sky itself seemed to burn with their fury. The fighting in the main square had become a super hellish cauldron of steel, fire, and blood.
Thousands of warriors from both sides clashed in a swirling storm of glaives and axes. The stones were overfilled with blood. Bodies piled up in heaps. The air was thick with the smell of sweat, smoke, and death grew each second. The sky itself seemed to burn with their fury. Zixuan-Dao's face was twisted with pain and exhaustion, his broken body barely holding together, yet his spirit refused to yield.
Every time he was knocked down, he forced himself back up, roaring with raw emotion and heavy stress, driven by the memory of all the fallen Dao people using this to beat into the barbaric monster that stood in his wake, who shattered people with his arcs. Meanwhile, I had returned to the war zone. Everywhere men still fought with desperate fury. I rejoined without my Vestuto.
I climbed onto the wall and saw that Feng-Dao had won his battles, killing all Bombardierer through raw earth Attribute mastery alone and barley used his Vestuto. He had grown visibly stronger and evolved further during the fight. My heart flame burned with intense desire to match swords and glaive against this amber hued man. I knew I would soon clash with him again, as showed me the same desire looking at me. I dropped to the ground and stopped our soldiers from attacking civilians.
I beat their backs with the flat of my blade, brought them back under control, and ordered them to support the main square, when they said they wont listen to a Suren they saw Feng-Dao right behind me and changed their tune real quick. We charged toward the center where the highest intensity clashes continued without mercy. Doyin-Moyonge, losing more ground, activated a final talisman. He transformed into an even more horrid and powerful monster, his Animo reaching ninety-five thousand.
He smashed through our army and beat Zixuan-Dao mercilessly into the ground again and again. Soldiers leaped in desperately to save their leader. They dragged the unconscious young heir out of the warzone while the mad monster tried to follow killing hundreds of warriors and had to battle 2 Generals for minutes until he had them completely ripped apart. Exhaustion finally slowed him. His inflated body began to compress.
Yet with sheer will he kept moving fully knowning, if he kills the young lord the tide of the battle will shift in his people favor. Feng-Dao and I lunged right before the bloody gate, striking with everything we had, but he shook us off. He then turned his savagery upon us. This cost him precious time and, fortunately, ended his tatouage, halting the leader's transformation because his body could no longer contain the sludge. His end arrived as his body dried up and withered away.
Though we defeated him, the brutal fight left us both severely bruised. But the battle was not over. In the distance, through the smoke and chaos, I saw a lone figure fleeing desperately toward the northern hills... Washu-Moyonge, the young thunder user. His armor still crackled with dying sparks of electricity, his body compressed and heavily wounded. He was running with everything he had left, heading straight for a hidden base of operation deep in the forested ridges.
We did not know exactly what waited there, only that it was a secret place where the Suren known as the Neo Humans were said to dwell. Pale-skinned, unnaturally tall, with cold mechanical eyes and strange glowing tattoos. They were the true masters behind the green-black-violet sludge, the ones who had turned ordinary warriors into monsters. Washu was going to them in pure desperation, seeking their forbidden power and support to turn the tide once more. We had taken Moyonshi.
Our banner now flew proudly upon the pavilion. Zixuan-Dao regained consciousness. He had heard of my deeds and gave me high regard with a weak but sincere nod. The flame of vengeance still burned fiercely in his eyes. With trembling hand and broken body, filled with heavy stress and overwhelming emotion, he forced himself to stand. His voice cracked but carried across the exhausted army.
"Today we nearly have won over our enemy. Only Outposts and smaller cities remain... so in words only one more battle and these original lands will be ours again for the DAO!" The soldiers, despite their pain and near-total exhaustion, answered with a weak but determined cheer. We began marching toward the last station where scouts had seen the son flee. But after only one kilometer Zixuan-Dao collapsed. His broken body could take no more the beating he had received did more then he wanted to admit.
The men behind him could not even make the full kilometer. Exhaustion finally claimed everyone. We had no choice but to accept a long rest whether we liked it or not. Warriors dropped where they stood, some crying, some staring blankly at the sky, some whispering prayers for the fallen. The war was not over. Washu-Moyonge had escaped. The Neo Humans waited in the shadows. And the fire of vengeance still burned in every surviving Dao heart. Battle Report Dao Sect Forces You might be reading a pirated copy.
