"Wind Breathing, Seventh Form: Gale, Sudden Gusts." Roaring wind blades slashed off the heads of three Minotaurs, and the monsters turned to ash amid the roar. The narrow rocky passage had been completely blocked by more than twenty Minotaurs. But in such a narrow place, the Hashira were able to use the terrain even better, while the large Minotaurs could not fully use their brute strength. Bull heads fell to the ground one after another.
In less than three minutes, all the Minotaurs were eliminated by the three Hashira.
"Now, hurry and enter Floor 17." Cael rushed to the front to clear the way and directly entered the passage leading to Floor 17. Fortunately, they had not consumed much physical strength on Floor 16. And because Floor 17 had the Floor Boss Goliath, there were relatively few other monsters. Cael knew the timing was strange. In the story he remembered, Goliath had been defeated by the Freya Familia only days earlier around this period. Its normal respawn should have taken far longer.
If the Floor Boss was stirring now, the Dungeon had been pushed off rhythm. Oddly enough, Goliath might be the most pitiful Floor Boss. Every time it regenerated, it would be cleared quickly, and some powerful Lv. 4 adventurers even used it to build experience.
"Next, we will face the first powerful enemy in the Dungeon. Remember, if we lose, escape past the obstacles ahead to the eighteenth floor. That is the only safe zone in the Dungeon. This is a large-scale adventure." Cael turned around and looked solemnly at everyone, who were already prepared.
"Understood," thirteen voices answered.
"Gulp." Compared with the others' nervousness, Lili, who had lived in the Dungeon since childhood, felt an even deeper chill. She knew very well that when the Dungeon itself seemed united against adventurers, when a party encountered a setback they could not handle, adventurers' hearts would break. Even if the party was not destroyed, those adventurers would become deeply afraid of the Dungeon and would no longer dare step into the Middle Floors.
During this period, everyone's physical strength returned to its best condition, and at last they reached the final destination. The exit of the passage ahead was already filled with colorful halos, as if light flowed along the walls, the ground, and the rocky ceiling. The colorful spots were full of dreamlike beauty. But the oppressive feeling in the air made everyone extremely solemn. Words such as strong, frightening, and monster rose in their minds.

When they walked to the exit, a cave space the size of three or four football fields appeared outside. The walls of the space emitted a strange light, like a crystal wall flowing with water. At the bottom of the opposite rock wall, there was a hole wide enough for three people to walk side by side. It was the entrance to the safe zone on Floor 18.
"The Wall of Grief, the hatching nest where the Floor Boss is born. The wall is intact. It seems the Floor Boss has completely resurrected."
"Once we leave this cave passage, our battle begins." After Cael finished speaking, he took a deep breath and stepped out of the cave.
"Three younger ones, Lili, after we draw the Floor Boss's attention, all of you run toward the entrance to Floor 18. Do you hear me?"
"But..."
"If you stay here, we will be distracted protecting you, so you must leave the battlefield. Do you hear me?" Cael's expression became serious. It was enough for supporters to help adventurers carry supplies along the way. They did not need to join the fight. In a battle of this level, Cael did not have absolute confidence, nor did he have the strength to protect people in this situation.
"I understand." Lili bit her lip.
"If anything happens, Lili will ask the adventurers on Floor 18 to save everyone."
"We understand too," Tanjiro said. They could not interfere in such a battle. They would only drag everyone down.
"Damn it. I cannot join the battle this time. I am so unwilling," Inosuke shouted unwillingly. Footsteps echoed in the huge, quiet space. Everyone tensed, waiting for the moment the enemy appeared. Suddenly, the ground began to shake violently. The wall began to crack. Large crystal-colored boulders fell from the straight, vertical rock wall. The bottom of the Wall of Grief collapsed. Rumble, rumble, rumble... A piercing roar shook the air throughout the space, and everyone instinctively covered their ears.
A huge human head more than three meters wide emerged from the collapsed Wall of Grief. Its eye sockets were dark, with only bright red pupils glowing inside. Its jaw, full of huge teeth, opened and roared. The rock wall trembled under the sound waves, and stone fragments were exposed.
"Watch out for falling rocks!" Everyone had no time to be shocked by the huge head. They hurriedly avoided the falling boulders. The rumbling sound echoed through the entire space, and apart from that, there was only the monster's roar.
"Hey, that is too big!" Tengen dodged a falling boulder, and his eyes widened despite himself when he saw the huge head. The Wall of Grief collapsed completely, like a mountain falling toward everyone. A giant more than twenty meters tall roared and fell from behind the collapsed rock wall, like a newborn monster. Boom! When the giant landed, the ground shook violently, like a natural disaster. The moment it landed, the red pupils in its dark eyes stared at everyone.
Its rocky hands, wide enough to hold five people, slowly reached toward them.
"Sure enough, the Dungeon hates me the most!" Cael looked at the palms covering his head, his mouth twitching. His feet instantly exerted force, and he leapt out between the fingers the moment the hands came down. He stepped onto the back of the giant's hand, held Hestia's twin blades with both hands, and ran along the Floor Boss's arm toward its head.
"Projection, start!" Cael shouted with a grin. Blue magical light burst out, and sharp swords were projected behind him.
"Go!" He kicked the hilts of the first two projected swords with his toes, and the two swords shot toward the Floor Boss's eyes with a whoosh. They pierced both of the Floor Boss's eyes in an instant. Then Broken Phantasm activated, causing two booming explosions. Roar, roar, roar! The Floor Boss raised its body in pain and roared. Cael slashed at Goliath's head with sword after sword. The edges sank into its rock-like scalp, and the strong wind ripped away flesh and blood. It was so hard.
The same power that easily killed ordinary monsters only scraped away an insignificant layer of flesh here. Go all out. Go all out. This enemy would force out all of his strength. It would be best if they could seriously injure it from the beginning. But that was not enough. Cael shouted to the others who had escaped the falling rock area.
