Ava saw trails going in various directions from here, but only one seemed well traveled.

Bramble let out a low growl, letting Ava know that he liked the forest better than this place. Chew had stayed back at Wayrest, telling ava the area was too dry ahead and he planned to make a new dam here and see if he could find any other beavers. Swoop was the only one of her bonds excited about this new area. She told ava she was going to follow the big trail and see if other people were about and would return to report. Meanwhile, Ava just looked around.

The place was barren compared to all the other zones she had been to. There was little vegetation and no water in sight. There were large peaks to the northeast of her and rough stone all around; some jutted out of the ground, while in other places she could see that there were creases in the earth and it was dry. She could already see why Chew refused to come near it. He would not like this place. Swoop finally returned and said there was a small camp on the bigger trail with people there.

That was enough for Ava, and she headed that direction. Swoop planned to explore outward. Swoop climbed high in the sky until Ava could only see a speck as Swoop went high for a good vantage point of the area. Ava bought back up the survey report for the area, and it now listed 2%, and as swoop headed north, she saw it tick to 3% she was happy to see that her adventure team got credit together for the exploration. The sun was getting close to setting when she finally got to the small camp and got a system message.

Ava got off her horse and hobbled and fed it and went to the fire to talk. There were six people around the fire: four women and two men. They welcomed her to the area and asked her what she was doing there, as they did not have many visitors on horseback in this area.

Ava told them she had come from the forest to the west and wanted to share some good news with them. Ava said, "The forest area got a system-sanctioned Adventurer's Enclave, you know, an adventurer's guild. And it wants us to share it and its option with others. That is why I am here." One of the women said, "Hello, my name is June we raise sheep just south of here, and we are out grazing them on the little vegetation out here and are just camping here tonight before driving them farther south tomorrow.

You're welcome to stay the night with us." Ava then went into guild pitch mode and convinced all but one of them to sign up for the guild and sent them each a guild invite.

The last thing Ava did before going to bed was to bring up the top explorer list and see that she was indeed #1 again on the list; as she was about to close the window, the rank dropped to #2 she closed the window frustrated. She would fix this tomorrow.
