Chương 88: [AUS Origins: Noa Ravel]

As I promised in the previous chapter's author notes, here's the Noa Ravel I originally had in my mind: This is the first design (well, kinda the same outfit): And here's some other old illustrations I had (the military outfit and the ones that are originally suppose to be in chapter 10): First off, the Noa I originally had in mind was not the jackass he is right now. So, let's go through some stuff I originally had planned for Noa, or scenes that involved him.

If you've read the novel during the first rewrite, you'll must've noticed that tease about the fight with Elina in chapter 1 was meant to be the prologue (which I uploaded after we got to like Chapter 26). But after noticing that most people don't even read prologues, and cuz the first 1-8 chapters didn't tell you anything about the story, I added that part to the start of chapter 1 to give an impression of what to expect.

From chapter 2 to chapter 4, where it's revealed that Noa doesn't have a system (Essence Fragment), I was originally going to have Noa lay low for a while. Then, while they're getting trained inside the castle, the four-year time skip happens. If you come across this story on Amazon, it's taken without permission from the author. Report it. Blah blah blah happens, and the whole class party goes to a dungeon of sorts.

There, Noa gets "betrayed," gets abandoned in the dungeon, and—I don't remember what I actually had in mind—but I think it was him awakening some bum-ass power, or intentionally pretending to be weak to get out of the castle and the team. Then he meets Vionette (who I'll talk about tomorrow), and the revenge shit happens.

Okay, I just remembered that I was going to do Vionette's one today, but when I opened chrome, I forgot that shit and somehow went with Noa (this is also how the story is made, actually) T-T Originally, Noa was meant to be quiet and nonchalant like most MCs—not the one we know. He had a polite, carefree, low-tempered general disposition, and he respected cultures unless they conflicted with his freedom. Also, Formless Sword was meant to be Formless Blade (somehow I changed it without even realizing).

Most of Noa's fights were meant to be like the fights in other OP MC novels where the MC hides their power, the enemy comes in, lands a blow or two, and then gets fucked by the MC (an example would be when Noa punches Cassion at the start). But after reading the I'm an Evil God manhua (my fav manhua), I began getting inspiration from that to write fights, which turned out pretty good without making things boring. That's all that comes to my mind right now.

Here's a little teaser for the next arc (not polished, so fuck you motherfucker trynna look at the mistakes): The monitor erupted in a blinding white light, turning the trash and the shadows into a bleached void. Out of the brilliance, a gorgeous panel manifested, its text shimmering with an unnatural clarity.

'Would you like to start the 100th chapter 'End' and complete the game?'

'Yes No'"What do you mean yes or no!? I already pressed start because I want to start it." He scowled at the screen, an annoyed grimace twisting his features as he turned toward the chat.

"Look at this, chat. Never happened before, right—!!?"
