Tinea's tail was descending again, snaking another slow, sinuous, teasing touch from the top of the pod to its bottom. Leah carefully breathed through the gentle feathering caress from her brows, across her lids and lips, down her throat, up and over her breasts with a tickling that forced a shivering gasp, lower past her ribs and navel across her pubic region, and continued with playful, fuzzy kisses along her vulva and down her hips.

Leah doggedly tracked the incoming projectiles as Tinea teased more touches and tickling caresses across her skin. Little tongues of fire licked particularly sensitive spots, and she almost moaned as the reflexive contractions of her muscles pushed against her diaphragm.

She couldn't quite stop the spider from vibrating, and the physics on display in the right screen were extremely distracting, making it awfully hard to stay focused. Seconds from the impact, the light, ghostly touches of Tinea's tail transformed into a firm hug around her waist. Leah relaxed, sweaty and exhausted, and drew a breath now that her skin and genitals weren't being teased anymore. Yet the lifting of the brain-fog only revealed the finer details of her own arousal to her.

The winds had ripped holes into the clouds, and the satellite view had cleared up enough that the facility and her Daddy-Long-Legs were recognizable. Just as she began to turn and move east-ward, her tactical systems blared an alarm into her brain and marked several fast-moving objects in the immediate vicinity. Large boughs ripped along by the blasts, and even an entire tree. It was on a collision course, and Leah's heart raced as she jerked back into cover.

The tree glanced off the facility and bounced past, only meters away, and suddenly Tinea was cackling madly into her ear. Leah's gaze snapped to her, and the girl was shaking in her slings, grinning and gnawing on an index finger as she tried to control her wild reaction, her other hand clenching hard around ropes. The woman's wanton look really, really pushed Leah's buttons. Part of her just wanted to pause the world, get up, and rip Tinea's wanna-be clothes off to have her way with her.

Part of her wanted to see her fall apart on her fingers, begging for more.

"Nrgh." Biting her lip against the temptations even as the twitching tail needled her arousal all over again, Leah forced her attention back onto the surroundings. Things had more or less stopped flying through the air, and the shockwaves had toppled enough trees to make traveling even easier. Maybe she wouldn't need any of the flora-shredding shells. Anyways. We'd passed within a hundred meters of the Rods From God impact site. All the trees had been reduced to splinters, and there'd been a smoldering ring of fire several meters thick, slowly cooking all the mud and throwing up a thick fog. My own battle's… climax— heh— had nothing on this crater. It wasn't nearly as pretty, what with there being no glass and no snow, but it must've been dozens of meters deep and over a hundred meters wide. We didn't stick around.

There were no more Antithesis nearby, and we kept moving east.

We'd almost reached the swamp by the time Leah had to slow down again. I watched Leah's maintenance drone pop out of its bay, equipped with a new foam gun. It sprayed a slow path across the swamp with the supersearing foam, until Leah had the idea to just have it attach foam pontoons to the spider's ankles instead. Since that was kind of a hacky solution and they kept falling apart, the drone needed to keep renewing those whilst we were moving.

I had a few minutes' worth of excitement as I watched a spider splash across water on eight limbs, with a fat drone playing the old Five Finger Fillet between them, trying not to get stabbed. Which was kinda wild, but… that was still only a momentary distraction. We made it across the swamp safely and kept moving further eastwards until we hit the old highway, which we followed south to catch up to the swarm.

Satellite images warned us that a few thousand Antithesis had broken off to race for the crater after the orbital bombardment, which meant we'd run into them eventually.

I spent a while talking to Tynea about the wings. She had a suggestion I liked, a compromise between the somewhat fake-feeling combat graft, and the rather slow natural growth. If I wanted it, I could upgrade to Class II Medical Utilities and buy a mobile-surgeon-thing. It would clamp onto my back and use drugs to boost the growth of the wings' root arms, to which I could then attach Moonsinger-designed jump jets usually meant to amplify lateral maneuverability during flight.

The result would not be quite the same as flying, but it would drastically increase my mobility—and I'd still get to enjoy the journey of unlocking proper flight.

I was all out of distractions and my body was still screaming at me with throbbings and lots of liquid heat. And using my tail to tease Leah didn't seem to be enough to coax her out of her shell and do me already, for fuck's sake. So, since I had little choice for entertainment but to tie myself up prettily, I decided to go all out on that. I cut most of the silk that had held me so far, and studied my body as I lay—mostly—comfy on the cot. It was a bit small, and I couldn't quite stretch my legs.
