Chương 29: A Note on Revisions to the Early Chapters

Thank you for following the story through Chapter 28! I've recently revised the first 28 chapters to make the characters' motivations, worldbuilding, and progression more consistent, and to improve continuity. The main storyline, central character relationships, and key events remain unchanged. If you're caught up, you don't need to reread from the beginning. Here are the main changes to keep in mind: Chapters 26–28 have been revised to improve the pacing of the sect's entrance examination.

Looking back, I felt this part of the story moved too slowly, so I streamlined these chapters and adjusted some of the events to help the examination flow better. Elara's initial situation and goals are clearer. Elara wants to join a sect before the coming outbreak of demonic cultivator activity so she can secure its protection. Her gardening, cultivation, and efforts to earn an examination slot all serve that goal. Some names and background details have been updated.

The trial realm is now consistently called the Dao Realm, and its stairway is the Stairway of the Great Dao. These are the same sect and trial realm you already know, not new factions or locations. The Dao Realm's origins have also been revised: its legacy trials were established by powerful beings from the immortal realm. Some combat and progression details have been adjusted. The second Dao Realm trial now features one Tier 2 Qi Refining opponent, while the third features two Tier 3 opponents.

Some arts' power levels and Fortune values have also been adjusted. The trial outcomes and main rewards remain unchanged. The third round of the outer disciple selection has changed. The stair-climbing test has been replaced with a practical combat assessment conducted by sect disciples. The first two rounds still test professional skills and performance within an illusion formation. I've also cleaned up some wording and status-panel entries.
