Chương 660: Chapter 661: Muriel's disappointment

"We here at USNN are happy to report that Diva Lorelie is apparently in a stable condition and currently recovering at an undisclosed location. Our informant inside the Pyro City hospital, to which Diva Lorelie was rushed, has informed us that Doctor Aurora herself personally operated on Diva Lorelie with great success. After she was stabilised and spent some time in a medical pod, Diva Lorelie was moved to an undisclosed location for fear of another attack.

"FUUUUCCCCCKKKKKKKKK!" Drotas screamed before she reached for the bottle of God's Oasis on the table before her and threw it at the wall, causing it to shatter.

"Why? Why can't that traitorous slut just die?" Drotas asked angrily, to no one in particular, since she was alone in her living room.

"Useless, useless, useless, I'm surrounded by a bunch of no-good useless pieces of dragon shit. How hard is it to kill one singer?" Her tantrum went on for several minutes until she tired herself out enough to calm down slightly and think things through.

"So much for this secret organisation, how can they plan and execute the overthrow of governments, but not take care of one simple little singer?" Drotas accessed her uniband before calling the contact information Mr Mysterious Eighteen had given her; however, almost immediately, an automated voice was heard saying.

"We're sorry, but this contact is no longer available. Please use an alternative contact method or contact support for further assistance."

"What the fuck?" Dratos cursed after hearing the automated message before she tried the contact information again, only to get the same response.

"That fucker, they deleted the contact info after failing to assassinate that traitorous bitch," Drotas cursed before smiling darkly and saying, "Did they really think they were the only contact I had in their organisation?" Drotas searched her uniband again for another contact before calling it and this time it succeeded and connected after a few seconds.

As always, it was impossible for Drotas to tell exactly who she was talking to because of the blacked-out holographic screen and distorted voice as they created her.

"Drotas, this is a pleasant surprise. What can we do for you?"

"Mr Mysterious Fourteen, tell me how your organisation failed to kill that traitor Lorelie and why I now can't contact Mr Mysterious Eighteen," Drotas replied.

"Kill Lorelie?" Mr Mysterious Fourteen repeated in surprise before asking, "You mean it was one of our people who attacked her on Fenix Nest?"

"Don't play dumb; how's it possible you don't know that?" Drotas snapped.

"To keep our organisation's activities secret, only the supreme leader knows everything the organisation is doing. I, for example, know everything happening in Sector Fourteen because I'm responsible for it; however, I don't know what's happening in the other sectors unless it's deemed necessary for me to know," Mr Mysterious Fourteen explained.

"Please," Drotas scoffed before saying accusingly, "Don't tell me you don't have spies in other sectors reporting on your associates' activities."

"I don't know what you're talking about, that's against the supreme leader's instructions after all," Mr Mysterious Fourteen replied.

"I don't know all the details, but some of our organisation that have failed to meet the supreme leader's standards are being replaced."

"I'm assuming that doesn't include you after I helped you acquire control of Glordri for your organisation?" Drotas asked before asking, "I have noticed some strange activities in the Vlusird Galaxy that wouldn't have anything to do with you, would it?"

"You have been amply compensated for your assistance in taking control of Glordri without the Universal Senate or other races realising," Mr Mysterious Fourteen replied before adding, "But you are correct, I am not being replaced."

"Not going to answer my other question, huh?" Drotas asked before angrily saying, "Fine, then find out what the fuck your organisation plans to do about Lorelie. I had an agreement with the former Mr Mysterious Eighteen, which I expect to be honoured." After she finished speaking, Drotas ended the call before cursing loudly once again. Reef Galaxy, Aqua Primus.

"Morning, sleepyhead. I thought you promised to help me with breakfast?" Muriel asked with a smile as a male Syngnathidae entered her kitchen and approached her.

"Well, someone tired me out last night and I ended up sleeping longer than planned," The man said before kissing Muriel. Muriel grinned before cupping the man's chin and saying, "It's not my fault you like to be under my thumb, little toy." The man chuckled before noticing the holographic screen that was showing the USNN channel, after which he asked, "Any news on Diva Lorelie?"

"Yes," Muriel replied happily before continuing, "Apparently, she's no longer in critical condition and is recovering at an undisclosed location."

"That's good. I would hate for all your hard work in preparing for her arrival to go to waste," The man replied.

"Aren't you sweet, my little Janryl," Muriel said while stroking his cheek before slapping it slightly and adding, "But you're still not staying here once she arrives."

"Am I that much of an embarrassment?" Janryl asked with a chuckle.

"Surely you must understand that it's inappropriate for two divas to be staying in the same house as an unmarried man," Muriel replied before grabbing his chin and asking, "Or are you trying to start a rumour about you dating them?"

"Don't be silly, Muriel," Janryl replied while removing her hand before asking, "Besides, aren't they both already dating the same guy?"

"Who gave you permission to remove my hand?" Muriel asked with a frown.

"Sorry, mistress," Janryl said apologetically before trying to kiss her hand. Muriel, however, yanked her hand away before he could and turned back to prepare breakfast while saying, "No breakfast for naughty toys, you can leave now."

"What?" Janryl asked in surprise.

"Do I need to repeat myself?" Muriel asked in a cold tone without looking at him.

"No, mistress," Janryl said meekly before leaving. Muriel didn't say anything else and instead focused on making her breakfast until she heard her front door open and close. Only then did she sigh and say to no one in particular, "Why do all men think I'm only interested in dominating them? If only I had known earlier that being a strict team captain would affect my reputation in this way and ruin my chances at finding someone I'm actually attracted to. Still, I guess he'll be fun for a little while."

As she finished speaking, she looked at a Diva Lorelie poster that was framed and hung on her wall before saying wistfully, "I wish Diva Lorelie would dominate me."

"So, babe, when are you going to make us official members of your crew?" Rowena asked from where she sat opposite Adam, while everyone except Lorelie was eating breakfast because she was still recovering in the medical bay.

"How about after Lorelie is well enough to leave the medical bay, that way I can do you both together," Adam replied.

"Do them both together, huh?" Aphrodite asked with a smirk.

"You know I didn't mean it like that," Adam replied while rolling his eyes.

"I'm not so sure about that," Aphrodite replied with a smirk before adding, "Though I look forward to becoming a member of your crew."

"Me too, I look forward to it as well," Tephe said excitedly.

"Sorry, but the only two I plan to add as members of Spector's crew are Lorelie and Rowena," Adam replied. AWwww, why?" Tephe asked in disappointment. Adam was about to reply when a voice from the mess hall's doorway interrupted him.

"Adam! Let's go on a date," Revi announced as soon as she and Elemence walked into Spector's mess hall.

"Cough, cough, what? Cough," Adam asked with difficulty through a coughing fit as Revi's sudden statement made him accidentally swallow his food down the wrong hole.

"Well, this took longer than expected," Rowena said with a smirk.

"Yeah, I figured she would ask for a date on the first day," Stacey replied while rubbing Adam's back.

"I originally assumed it would have been after we reached Aqua Primus," Aphrodite added.

"Na-ah, no way," Tephe complained before asking with a pout, "Why does Revi get to go on a date before me?"

"Wait! You two knew I would ask?" Revi asked in surprise while looking between Stacey and Rowena.

"Well, it was kind of obvious," Stacey said while rolling her eyes.

"Yeah, we figured you would make use of the debt Adam owes you by forcing him to take you out on a date," Rowena said with a chuckle.

"DAMN IT!" Tephe suddenly cursed angrily as she stood and hit the table with her fist, causing Maiya, who had been on her head, to fly off and look at her in puzzlement.
