Chương 179: A Small (Okay, Pretty Big) Announcement

Hey everyone! So... I have been putting off writing this announcement for a little while because, if I am being completely transparent, I was a bit nervous about it. Here it is though: Re: Birth Book 1 will be stubbing from Royal Road on October 20th. For anyone unfamiliar with the term, that basically means most of Book 1 will be coming down from Royal Road when the published version officially releases. And yes, I know stubbing can be a bit controversial around here.
Royal Road is where Re: Birth started and where most of you found it, so I completely understand those of you who prefer reading exclusively on RR and aren't particularly thrilled whenever a story stubs. Seriously, no hard feelings whatsoever. I am also NOT leaving Royal Road! I feel like it needs to be said, so I'll continue posting here until the end, which is hopefully Book 9, so a long time still. This is where the story found its audience in the first place, and I have absolutely no intention of abandoning it.
In fact, before Book 1 comes down, I want to do something a little different. My goal is to have all of Book 3 finished on Royal Road at least two weeks before the October 20th release, so everyone who's been reading here has a chance to experience Books 1–3 as one complete trilogy before we properly move into the next major part of the story.
Because Books 4–6 are effectively the next trilogy, and I really like the idea of letting everyone close this first chapter of Adom's journey together before we go charging headfirst into whatever decisions await him next. If you come across this story on Amazon, it's taken without permission from the author. Report it.
Starting this Friday, I also plan to start making around five advance chapters available for free on Patreon, with one subsequent chapter every Friday, so even people who aren't paid members can read a little ahead. Consider it my small attempt at bribing you into forgiving me for the stub. Now! The fun stuff. The audiobook is being narrated by Daniel Wisniewski, whose work some of you might know from 1% Lifesteal, The Stubborn Skill-Grinder in a Time Loop, Mage Tank, and a whole bunch of other great books.
I've heard some of his bloopers on Re: Birth already, and I am extremely happy with it, lol. If you have TikTok, go visit his page, DanTheVoiceMan, and you'll see it if you scroll down enough. The published edition is being brought to you by the folks at Aethon Books. They've gone above and beyond with the editing, cover, audio, release setup, and all the million little things involved in turning this into an actual published book.
So, Re: Birth officially releases October 20th, and if you were already planning to pick it up, one thing that would help tremendously right now is pre-ordering. Pre-orders give the book some early momentum and help signal to Amazon that people are actually interested in it before launch day, which gives the algorithm a better chance of showing it to new readers. No pressure whatsoever if you'd rather wait, use Kindle Unlimited, grab the audiobook, or simply continue reading here.
Every single one of you reading, commenting, rating, reviewing, recommending the story to someone, or occasionally yelling at Adom in the comments has already done more for this story than I could have expected when I started posting it. So thank you. This has gotten much, much bigger than I ever expected it to, and whatever happens when October comes around, I'm incredibly grateful that you guys are the reason it got there in the first place.... Anyway! That's enough emotional sincerity from me for one evening.
It's becoming uncomfortable. See you Wednesday for the next chappy, and the link to the pre-order is right in the author note:)
