Chương 50: Lord Hashirama is the Hokage

On the rooftop of the Hokage Building, a group of Konoha ninjas surrounded the Anbu who had landed on the ground.

"That's terrible..." A middle-aged Jonin frowned and said in a deep voice, "With this injury, he probably won't be able to be a ninja anymore."

During this period, the medical levels of the five major villages were roughly equal, all relying on conventional medical books and theories, as well as the healing techniques that each ninja clan had developed through trial and error. "Was the four-man ANBU squad wiped out?" A Jonin covered in bandages bent down to examine the situation.

"Send him for treatment first." With a whoosh, Tobirama suddenly appeared and said in a cold voice.

"Ha!" The ninjas stood at attention in unison.

Tobirama's eyes flickered to the blue will-o'-the-wisp floating in mid-air. As he squinted, a distorted human face was reflected in his scarlet pupils.

"Put these flames away."

The group looked at each other, and for a moment no one made a move.

Tobirama's lips twitched. They don't even know the fire-sealing seal? It seems I'll have to do it myself. Just as he was about to step forward, in an instant, the five ghostly flames were extinguished in unison.

Tobirama's face darkened. He had originally intended to collect samples of the flames for research, to see if they could be used to develop suitable techniques.

He abruptly turned his head to look at a room, and Tobirama roared with a dark face, "You brats, get back to school and start your lessons!"

The adult ninjas twitched their eyelids. Some of the older ninjas looked at these hothouse flowers with displeasure in their eyes, but they didn't say much. Compared to the average level and quality of children in the Warring States period, these children lived too peacefully.

Tobirama stepped forward and looked down at Akitsu.

Every member of the Anbu was a final confirmation from him; they were all elites, each a captain of at least a hundred-man squad in any ninja clan. Especially this Akitsu, a renowned genius who rose through the ranks of the Hyuga clan during the Warring States period. While undoubtedly far inferior to her elder brother and Madara Uchiha, at sixteen years old, she possessed the strength to contend head-on with veteran Jonin. With further training, she could become a pillar of Konoha.

More importantly, she was young, and could shield Konoha from many storms in the future...

"What a pity..." Although Tobirama was not very proficient in medical ninjutsu, he had enough experience in human anatomy to basically determine the injury. With his skills, he could not restore the crippled limbs. Moreover, the most important Byakugan was gone. "Does she still have family?" Tobirama asked.

The word "family" is quite subtle. As members of the Hyuga clan, how could we not have family?

"That's all," a Hyuga branch family ninja said in a low voice.

"Akitsu is an orphan."

Tobirama nodded knowingly.

As they were talking, a female ninja stepped forward, preparing to remove her mask.

"Huh?" The female ninja frowned and tightened her grip slightly.

The next second, Akitsu's face was torn open, and blood flowed down. The female ninja quickly stopped what she was doing.

Tobirama frowned upon seeing this.

"Lord Tobirama, the mask seems to be growing on my face, it's stuck on, I can't take it off." The female ninja hesitated before saying, "If we try to remove it by force, we'll probably tear the whole mask off." The girl probably didn't want to lose her face.

Are they glued together?

Tobirama looked him up and down, but there was nothing obviously wrong with his appearance. He didn't say anything.

Crouching down, Tobirama took the initiative and, as the kunai slowly approached, pressed against the edge of the mask, attempting to cut into the gap. He saw the kunai right before his eyes, its tip silently severed.

Tobirama switched to a kunai, the tip of which gleamed with the cold light of condensed chakra.

He slowly and cautiously approached, and upon touching him, he felt a slight lag. Immediately afterward, Tobirama's pupils contracted slightly.

With a flicker of his eyes, Tobirama made a judgment and said, "Just wear it like this. The whole mask is sewn onto the face and can't be taken off. If you don't understand the stitching, there's no way to remove it."

"What if we break the mask?" the female ninja asked.

Tobirama said, "Then let's give it a try." He had no intention of making a move, and got up to leave without looking back.

Watching Tobirama's retreating figure, the female ninja thought for a moment, then took out a kunai, gripped the handle with both hands, pointed the blade at the mask, and thrust it down fiercely. She was confident that she could pierce the mask without harming anyone.

With a bang and a flash of sparks, the broken tip of the kunai flew off under the impact, and a ninja watching from the sidelines dodged the flying fragments.

In the arena, the scarlet fox mask remained unharmed, silently mocking the crowd.

Everyone fell silent.

"Did you see that ninja?" the kids chattered on the road.

"I see, the injury is quite serious."

Instead of being afraid of blood, he showed a long-awaited excitement.

"It seems a formidable enemy has appeared, and the adults seem helpless..."

Danzo looked at Hiruzen beside him and said, "What do you think, Hiruzen?"

"It's still too far off for us," Hiruzen said.

"I trust the village's ninjas can handle it."

Danzo scoffed, "Those complacent, lazy fools, who've been at peace for so long, clearly can't handle things properly. They've been attacked on their doorstep, and they haven't even come up with a decent response. If this were the Warring States period..."

Hiruzen Sarutobi didn't think it was as Danzo said, but for some reason he felt a bit annoyed.

"Are you the Hokage, Danzo?" Hiruzen asked.

"Huh?" Danzo was taken aback.

"Lord Hashirama is the Hokage, and this is something he's considering," Hiruzen said.

"You!" Danzo didn't know how to retaliate, his face turning bright red.
