The spears Li Qinwu designed were 1. 5 meters long—an imposing length for a one-meter-tall Goblin. While they couldn't form a true Macedonian phalanx, the "Three-Row Rotation" tactic worked wonders. The first row held the line, and if a suicidal Kobold managed to break through, the second or third row would instantly thrust their spears to skewer the intruder. Compared to the chaotic Kobolds, the disciplined Goblins were a meat grinder. From afar, Dragon-Fang watched his kin melt away like snow.
His face twisted with a mix of rage and disbelief. He realized this Goblin chief possessed more than just iron—he possessed the terrifying power of "Order."
"It's time. Release the Thing!" Dragon-Fang roared at a priest covered in strange runes. The priest hesitated.
"Chief, my mana isn't enough to suppress its instincts fully. If I release it now, it might attack our own..."
"GO!" Dragon-Fang bellowed.
"If we lose this battle, we are all food for the green-skins! Sacrifice your soul if you must, but bring it out!" A moment later, the ground began to rhythmic tremble.
"KILL! KILL! KILL!" Li Qinwu was enjoying the sensation of "stat-checking" his enemy. At this rate, the forest was his. But the shaking ground made him look up. Unauthorized duplication: this tale has been taken without consent. Report sightings. Deep within the Kobold camp, a massive tent collapsed as a nightmare creature clawed its way out. It stood 7 meters tall and over 10 meters long—a living fortress.
"Holy sh*t, is that a tank?!" Li Qinwu yelled. It was a Giant Armored Beast, a prehistoric monster with skin like stone and six massive legs thick as ancient trees. It had four eyes and a singular massive horn, looking like a rhinoceros enlarged tenfold.
"Boss! That's a Giant Armored Beast!" Dog-Witch squealed, hiding behind Li Qinwu.
"Dragon-Fang is insane! That priest must have sold his soul to the Cursed Dragon to use 'Soul Capture' on that thing!"
"Get to the point! How do I kill it?" Li Qinwu slapped Dog-Witch twice to snap him out of it.
"The control isn't long-range! The priest must be in that wooden tower on its back! He has to be in physical contact with its skin to suppress its instincts. If you kill the priest, the beast will go wild and likely turn on the Kobolds!" Li Qinwu looked up. Indeed, there was a crude wooden tower on the beast's back, guarded by a dozen elite Kobolds. The beast moved erratically, stopping and starting like a player with high ping—the beast's will was fighting the priest's soul.
"Reserves! Grab five ballistae and follow me to the flank!" Li Qinwu led his warriors into the brush. Moving the heavy siege weapons through the forest was a nightmare, but the beast was slow.
"There! Set them up! Aim 30 degrees up!" Li Qinwu pointed at the beast's exposed flank. These ballistae were loaded with Iron-Orc's custom tri-edged armor-piercing bolts.
"FIRE!" Five heavy thuds echoed. Thwack! Thwack! The bolts buried themselves 20 centimeters deep into the beast's side. But for a mountain of flesh, this was a mosquito bite. The beast let out a low, thundering roar but didn't slow down.
"Not deep enough? Again! Aim for the wooden tower on its back!" Li Qinwu's eyes turned cold.
"I'm going to take down the 'Server' myself!"
