In the part of the world where Wen resides, people, upon turning eight years old, acquire the proto-dantian, the requirement for being able to cultivate without it being able to cause their death.

And the first step of Cultivation is the Body Tempering, which is in turn divided into 5 levels: the Skin Tempering, the Tempering of the Muscles, the Tempering of the Bones and Tendons, the Tempering of the Nerves and the Tempering of the Entrails and Veins. At the same time, the young cultivator has to wait for their proto-dantian to develop over time, so that, normally, they can only finish one of those steps per year in order to avoid having some accident. The problem is that Wen, when she was ten years old, was told by Master Mu that she already had her Dantian formed and therefore could finish the Body Tempering whenever she wished, something she did by finishing back to back the Tempering of the Nerves and the Tempering of the Entrails and Veins in chapters 90 and 91.

But for Wen that meant another problem, which was that, upon finishing the Body Tempering, she no longer expelled impurities when cultivating, and although she could be discreet about it, there was always the risk that someone might notice.

That is why, when she finished building her private cultivation room with a bath that in reality she no longer needed, she asked Xia to always cultivate there right after she herself finished, so that the impurities of Xia's cultivation would serve as a cover for her own lack of them. And since Wen just turned twelve, he still has to wait a reasonable amount of time before he can reveal that he has completed the Body Tempering, which is why he asks Xia once again to keep up the charade.
