Myrathra Dawnstar"He is here, Chair," my assistant informed me.
"Send him in," I replied. A moment later, the door opened, and a handsome man in his mid–to–late thirties stepped inside. No wonder he ranks so highly, I thought as I observed him. There were many lists in our line of work, and this man topped several. Sandy brown hair, piercing blue eyes, tall, confident—he carried himself with the easy assurance of someone used to being desired. Despite my lack of interest in men, I felt a faint pull of attraction.
"Department Head Dawnstar," he greeted, his voice smooth, controlled.
"Thank you for coming, Mr. Rodhan," I said, gesturing toward the seat beside me.
"And please—call me Chair Dawnstar." He smiled as he sat.
"Then you must call me Rodhan. Otherwise, this will become quite a formal conversation." I laughed softly. I liked him already—charming, relaxed, and quick-witted.
"I believe Madam Cath has already explained what we require of you?" I asked.
"To use my body for your research," he replied lightly.
"It is… more nuanced than that," I said, my tone turning serious. His expression shifted accordingly, attentive now. Cath had given him the outline—enough to agree—but the depth of what we were building would only reveal itself in practice.
"Come," I said, rising. He stood with me. My assistant followed behind us—new to the position, well-trained but still lacking experience. I had chosen to begin fresh here, without bringing anyone from Archmage City. I did not want the old ways shaping this place. Sometimes I missed that life. But less and less with each passing day. This smaller city—this work—this purpose… It gave me something I had searched for my entire life. Contentment. Perhaps even meaning. We descended one floor by the stairs.
I had relocated the classes here for privacy. At the door, a guard opened it for us. Inside waited seven girls—beautifully dressed—along with three instructors and Madam Cath. Cath's presence was to observe and report to the Headmistress and Silver. He had agreed, but under strict conditions. The most important one: Any girl could withdraw at any moment. Though I doubted any would. All seven were from the Velvet Garden—selected personally after careful observation.
They were between twenty and twenty-five years old. All between Level 20 and 25. A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation. I had wanted trainees below Level 20, but Silver preferred we begin with those already working. If this succeeded, we would move down to trainees. That would be where the real transformation began.
"Chair," they greeted. I nodded.
"Everyone, this is Mr. Rodhan. He has kindly agreed to help us test our new curriculum."
"Ladies," he said with a practiced charm that drew immediate smiles. I released a controlled pulse of Enchanting Presence—just enough to ease the room, not overwhelm it.
"Our curriculum already covers theory. Today, we begin practical refinement—the part previously absent." I opened the adjoining door. Inside lay a carefully designed room—a perfect replica of a Velvet Garden chamber. Furnishings. Art. Lighting. And the bed.
"Mr. Rodhan, please," I gestured. He stepped forward. Confident—but not without nerves. Good. That meant he was invested.
"Veleryth," I called. The half-elf with long blue hair stepped forward. Mid-twenties. Ambitious. Confident. She reminded me of myself—though at her age, I had hidden those traits. Here, we encouraged them.
"Begin." I activated Privacy, ensuring only she and the instructors could hear me.
"You are not here to serve him," I told her quietly.
"You are not a vessel for his desire."
"You are desire."
"You are the experience he is blessed to receive." Her lips curved into a knowing smile. She moved. A single glance—then a subtle gesture—and Rodhan obeyed her silent command to sit. Good. Control without force. Without raising her voice, she guided him—drawing him into her rhythm. She removed her hairpin slowly, letting her hair fall. The effect was immediate. His breathing changed. She stepped closer. Closer still. Then let her dress slip from her shoulders. He reached toward her— "Stop him," I instructed.
She did—gently, but decisively. A small shake of her head. A promise and a denial in one motion. Even dominant girls hesitate at first. We are taught caution. Safety. Submission. But here, under Silver's protection, I wanted them to become what they truly were. Veleryth pushed him back onto the bed and climbed over him, slow and deliberate.
"Slow the pace," I murmured. She adjusted instantly. Good instincts. Their lips met—intense, controlled, consuming.
"Hands through his hair." She obeyed. I stepped aside, watching, then glanced back at the observing girls and instructors. I was not just teaching them. I was training teachers. One day, I would expand this program—bring in experienced professionals, people I trusted from my past. But not yet. First, this place had to find its own identity. Veleryth shifted again, guiding him with precision. Every movement is intentional. Every reaction studied. When she changed positions, I saw recognition in her eyes.
She remembered his preferences from his file. The Velvet Garden's intelligence network was… impressive. Even I had never worked with a system this detailed. She adapted her rhythm. Her breathing. Her sounds.
"Match him," I instructed quietly.
"But lead him." A minute passed. Then another. Her control deepened. Her performance sharpened. She reached her peak—genuine enough to satisfy him, controlled enough to guide him. Then she transitioned smoothly, maintaining connection, drawing him further. This was the true craft. Not the end. But everything leading to it. I watched carefully, correcting, guiding, praising. She adjusted beautifully. By the time he reached his own peak, his expression said everything. Satisfied. Impressed. Hungry for more.
"I trust you are not exhausted, Mr. Rodhan?" I asked lightly. He laughed softly, still catching his breath, his eyes already drifting toward the remaining girls.
"Far from it, Chair Dawnstar." Good. Very good. This was working exactly as I intended.
