Faith in Numbers [Cult-Building LitRPG]

If he can’t have magic, he’ll give them madness. Sid is perfect on paper… brilliant, disciplined, a natural leader. Too bad he can’t cast a single spell. Magic needs connection. Sid feels connected to nothing. To the powers that be at his abusive monastery, he’s defective. Magic runs on wonder. Sid runs on spite, and it’s exhausting. Then comes Rina, the mother who fed him to the wolves. But mother’s favors aren’t free. She can’t teach him magic, so she grants him a system as the next best thing. He becomes [The Mad Mystic], a role with social boons powerful enough to command the religious order that cast him out. But Sid is just a lowly pawn for now, forced to play his mother’s deadly game in the name of freeing Her, the Thorned Devil. Rina’s Rings of Hell cull the unworthy through deadly puzzles and demonic opponents. Every victory feeds Sid’s FAITH stat. He has no magic, no mercy, and a goddamn clown for a champion. The world cast him out. Now he’ll make it kneel.
