Blessed by Death: An Archmage's Second Life [Book 1 Complete!]

Levi was once the servant of Death itself. For years he fulfilled his duties well, eliminating arcane threats to the world. Sadly, his final task came with a terrible cost. Burdened by his actions, he retired to a life of solitude, wanting to live out the rest of his days in peace. But one day Death returns – not to reap his soul, but offer a blessing. The chance to reincarnate into another world, one where no one knows his name. Levi accepts. Though, he doesn't expect to awaken in the body of a failure: a disgraced noble son, disinherited as heir and on the verge of expulsion from the Institute of Ascension. It seems Death decided to leave a few things out... Not that Levi really minds. Let the nobles sneer. He has more important things to deal with. Dangerous monsters, familial disagreements, rampant corruption, an enigmatic System, eldritch abominations... The list goes on and on. Fortunately, he’s an archmage. So long as he has his magic by his side, he can take on anything. Levi was gifted a whole new life. And this time? He intends to live it as an adventure. --- This story is only posted on RoyalRoad and Spacebattles. All other instances are unauthorized. Cover art by Redhotieh --- Updates Mon-Fri
